Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria loses Spanish accent while discussing ‘Rust’ shooting in reality show trailer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hilaria Baldwin, wife of actor Alec Baldwin, is being trolled on social media for seemingly losing her Spanish accent while appearing on a reality television show surrounding her family, Gateway Pundit reported on Monday, January 27.
Hilaria's Spanish accent disappeared when she was discussing the tragedy that befell her husband in 2021 when he was filming the movie 'Rust' and accidentally shot one crew member dead and injured another.
According to the publication, Hilaria has been untruthful about her Spanish heritage and was outed by one of her high school classmates back in 2020. She is accused of faking an accent and falsely claiming that she moved into the United States at the age of 19 when she is allegedly a native of Massachusetts originally named Hillary Thomas.
Discussing 'Rust' in reality show trailer
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin are seen dealing with the aftermath of the 'Rust' accident in the trailer of their show titled 'The Baldwins', which is set to premiere on February 23 on TLC.
“Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids,” Alec says in the trailer, leading Hilaria to respond in an accent-free tone, "We’ve had bad moments, but we found our foundation."
The tragic incident during the filming of 'Rust' in Santa Fe, New Mexico in October 2021 involved a prop gun fired by Alec which was accidentally loaded with live rounds. It resulted in the death of 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins and the injury of 48-year-old Joel Souza.
The actor was charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in 2023. The judge dismissed the case against him in July 2024 after the defense accused state prosecutors of concealing evidence.

"Does she still claim to be Spanish?" asked another.
"Sweet non-accent, she bro. One must have disassociative identity disorder to survive a life next to Alec," jibed a third.
