HOUSTON, TEXAS: Beyonce recently took the stage at a Kamala Harris rally in Houston, delivering an impassioned speech in support of the vice president and calling for unity as the 2024 election looms.

However, her remarks didn’t sit well with one particular celebrity: Amber Rose. Rose publicly claimed that Beyonce had copied her speech, igniting a wave of backlash across social media.

In a now-viral comment, Amber Rose wrote, "She wanna be me so bad. Literally took my whole speech," responding to a post by The Shade Room on Instagram.

The comment quickly garnered attention, as followers questioned the validity of Rose’s accusations and ridiculed her bold claim.

While Rose didn’t specify which of her speeches she was referring to, many believe she was alluding to the address she delivered three months ago at the Republican National Convention (RNC), where she spoke in favor of former president Donald Trump.

Her speech that night marked a turning point for Rose, who previously criticized Trump but now voiced her support for his 2024 campaign.

During her RNC address, Rose opened by introducing herself with a strong emphasis on motherhood: “Hello. My name is Amber Rose. I’m a model and entrepreneur. Thank you. But most importantly, I’m a mother. My whole world revolves around providing for my children, keeping them safe, and giving them an opportunity for a better life.”

Rose went on to emphasize the unity of all American parents, regardless of political background, in their desire to create a better future for their children.

She ended with a clear endorsement, urging listeners to support Trump as president, saying, “I’m here tonight to tell you, no matter your political background, that the best chance we have to give our babies a better life is to elect Donald Trump, President of the United States.”

In Houston, Beyonce took a rather similar approach as she voiced her support for Kamala Harris.

What did Beyonce say while endorsing Kamala Harris at Houston rally?

Addressing an energized crowd at the rally on Friday, October 25, night, Beyonce began by emphasizing her role not as a celebrity or politician, but as a mother who shares deep concerns for the future of her children and the next generation.

“I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” Beyonce began, striking a personal tone that resonated with many in the crowd.

She spoke about her vision for a world where children have the freedom to live without fear and where equality is accessible to everyone.

“A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we’re not divided,” she continued, advocating for a vision of unity.

Beyonce’s speech also encouraged the audience to consider the impact of voting, especially for women and girls. “Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations,” she said passionately, prompting cheers from the crowd.

The similarity between the two speeches seemed to be enough to prompt Rose’s claims, though the context and political tone were clearly different.

Amber Rose wasn't a Donald Trump supporter initially

Amber Rose's message at the RNC marked a shift from her previous stance on Donald Trump. Rose had been openly critical of him at the beginning of his political career, according to 19th News.

In 2016, when Trump disparaged celebrities supporting Hillary Clinton, referring to them as "non-hot" in an interview with The Cut, Rose called Trump “such an idiot” and “so weird,” adding, “I really hope he’s not president.”

"You ain’t even half of Bey," wrote one person.

One social media user discussing the news on an online forum wrote, " She’s just trolling for attention at this point…"

Another commenter in an apparent jibe at Amber's relationships, wrote, "I’m not sure what other options were available to amber once her relationships were over, but these attention seeking antics are tiring."

One wrote, "I didn’t listen to Amber’s speech and I’m sure Bey didn’t either, let alone copy anything."
