Angelina Jolie stalling Brad Pitt divorce to 'stand in the way' of his third marriage, claims source

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt, 60, is reportedly keen to marry his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, 31, but “standing in the way” is his ex, Angelina Jolie, 49. 

Recently, a source close to the feuding exes reveled to Daily Mail that the ‘Salt’ actress is reportedly stalling their eight-year-long divorce battle to maintain “control” over her ex. 

Once Hollywood’s golden couple, ‘Brangelina’ is still locked in a fierce divorce battle after Jolie initially filed for divorce from the ‘Inglourious Basterds’ star in 2016, following an acrimonious flight from France to the US. 

Since then, the former couple is locked in a divorce battle that has been further complicated by their legal tussle over the ownership of their French vineyard Chateau Miraval. As Pitt-Jolie’s court battle is going to a trial next year, insiders are saying that the ‘Maleficent’ actress is dashing the ‘Troy’ star’s hope of a third marriage by stalling their divorce.

Speaking to the outlet, the insider revealed that stalling the divorce is just “another tactic” for the ‘Maria’ star to control her ex-husband. 

While the former couple tied the knot in 2014, after dating for more than eight years, it was Pitt’s second marriage after his first to Jennifer Aniston ended in divorce. 

However, just two years after their nuptials, trouble brewed in paradise with the ex-couple opting for separation. 

However, a few years later. Pitt moved on with his present girlfriend, the jewelry designer Ines de Ramon when they were first linked together in 2022. 

Now, a source close to the ‘Troy’ star is claiming that he wanted to put a seal in his relationship with Ramon, but is unable to do so because of his ongoing divorce. 

The insider claimed, “Brad does want to be married again but Angie is still standing in the way, and he just wants it to be over.”

“She's been dragging this out for almost a decade. Now she is stalling on their divorce being finalized,” added the source close to the ‘Fight Club’ star while referencing his previous wife. 

They further dished that Pitt’s estranged relationship with their six children might work as a reason for Jolie’s actions as she is waiting for their twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, to turn 18. 

The former couple share six children between them - their biological children Shiloh, 18, apart from Knox and Vivienne, and their adopted children - Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, and Zahara, 19. 

The insider shared, “She’s using this as another tactic to maintain control over him and Brad knows she is seething that he is happy.”

The source further revealed that Pitt is ready to resolve the issues with his ex-wife to make a fresh start with Ines. 

“This is going on eight years now and although he would like to move forward with Ines, they both know it isn’t possible, and this is infuriating to Brad,” mused the source, before adding, “He is so ready to tackle Miraval. Ines will wait as long as it takes.”

Previously, another source noted that the ‘Babylon’ star, who is a stable relationship with his live-in girlfriend, feels “comfortable” with the entrepreneur. 

They shared that despite going through a nasty divorce, Pitt is open to marriage again because of his new found love for Ines. 

“Brad is interested in getting married again, and it is all thanks to Ines,” shared the source before adding, “The thing about her is that he is so comfortable with her that it just feels right with her, and he would be more than OK to make it official.”

They continued, “He has spoken to those close to him, including George [Clooney], and everyone has signed off on him doing it, it would be a nice thing for him as it would be the official moving on from his romantic past with [Jennifer Aniston] and Angie.”

“That is obviously in everyone's mind and will always be forever in the minds of millions, but it is Ines and her no nonsense nature that has finally been the person to settle down with,” noted the source.

They even teased a probable date, as the insider noted, “It is time and 2025 at some point is going to be the moment he will get engaged to her.”
