Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh drops 'Pitt' surname and debuts new name as a professional choreographer

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It seems Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Shiloh now wants to be known with another new name after dropping Pitt from her name last year following her 18th birthday.
The name change unveiling happened on May 29 at Isabel Marant’s collection launch in Los Angeles when her choreography credit for the dance number Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki performed showed her as “Shi,” as reported by E! News citing Variety.
It’s not clear yet whether she's using “Shi” as a stage name, or a nickname for “Shiloh".

Shiloh excluded 'Pitt' from her surname in 2024
Earlier in 2024, the young woman celebrated her 18th birthday on May 27 and just three days after that she filed a legal request to exclude Pitt surname.

Her previous full name was Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. However, she’s not the only child of the ex-couple to do so.
Her sibling, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, adopted by the ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ stars removed the “Pitt” from her last name at her sorority induction ceremony at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Their other sibling Vivienne Jolie-Pitt also chose to go without “Pitt” in the playbill for Broadway's ‘The Outsiders', where she was a production assistant.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt settled divorce late last year
The earlier name changes came amid Angelina and Brad’s eight-year divorce proceedings, which was finally settled in December 2024.
The two also share children — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, and Knox, 16.
At the time, Jolie’s lawyer James Simon said, as per PEOPLE, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.”

“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over,” Simon added.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were ‘committed to act as a united front’
Besides, an insider close to the 49-year-old actress shared, “She doesn’t speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately. She’s been trying hard to be light after a dark time.”
Earlier in 2017, months after filing for dissolution of marriage, the duo issued a statement, saying, “The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues.”
“The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification,” the statement added.
