Angelina Jolie's new look for LA premiere of ‘Maria’ leaves Internet divided: 'Vengence is taking a toll'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Angelina Jolie looked different as she appeared for the premiere of her recent movie ‘Maria’ in Los Angeles.

The biographical psychological drama movie features Jolie as opera singer Maria Callas.

During the premiere on Saturday, October 26, at the American Film Institute Festival, Jolie was seen rocking voluminous beachy curls instead of her usual straight hair, as per The Sun.

For the screening, the Academy Award winner donned a silky, champagne-colored gown.

She paired a charcoal shawl with the outfit that features a high, rounded neckline, and a slightly curved waist.

Jolie also spoke with PEOPLE about the film directed by Pablo Larrain, and the connection she feels with the late American-Greek soprano.

The 49-year-old actress shared, “I don't want to speak too much about it because it's too personal, but there's definitely a loneliness and a work ethic.”

“I may be many things, but I'm a very hard worker, right? I'm an imperfect person, but I work very hard and she does,” she added.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie’s new style received a wide variety of reactions online with a person on Facebook commenting, “Stunning! Aging with CLASS. Beautiful.”

Another wrote, “She looks stunningly beautiful.”

But one user begged to differ stating, “She has not aged well.”

“This woman is looking old. All that manipulating and vengeance is taking its toll,” another agreed.
