WASHINGTON, DC: Ann Coulter called out Donald Trump’s Cabinet meeting by comparing it to “Kim Jong il-style tributes.”

The president held a meeting with various administration officials, including Department of Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, as reported by The Hill.

Trump convened the meeting as reports released today say the U.S. economy contracted 0.3% in the first quarter of 2025, the first negative reading in three years, fueled by a massive surge in imports ahead of the administration's expected tariffs. He received wide praise from his officials, but Ann Coulter was not impressed as she posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Would it be possible to have a cabinet meeting without the Kim Jong il-style tributes?”

During the Wednesday, April 30, meeting, Hegseth hailed the commander-in-chief by saying that because of his "leadership," he thinks “we’re making the military great again.”

DOGE head and White House advisor Elon Musk remarked, “I think this could be the greatest administration since the founding of the country.”

At one point, McMahon jokingly said, “Well, Mr President, I don’t think I’ve ever worked so hard to try to fire myself,” referring to Trump’s desire to eliminate the Department of Education.

One user wrote on X, “Exactly. Literally every opening statement starts with praising the Leader. Very tiring. Let’s talk like normal people.”

“I throw up in my mouth when grown men and women fawn over another human being like this. It’s gross,” another critic said.

“Thank you for stating….those meetings are an absolute embarrassment. I couldn’t imagine a staff mtg at my company starting with everyone making a comment about how great I am,” one person said.

Another commented, “This is right out of N Korea. It's not a good look especially for how bad he/his cabinet have performed in the first 100 days. It's only gonna get worse.”

One individual posted, “I was just thinking the exact same thing, especially regarding the ‘best ever in the history of America’ claims.”

Another sarcastically added, “But those meetings are long and boring and if they didn't start by praising the glorious deeds of Dear Leader, he'd get bored, start fidgeting like a toddler, and soon wander off.”

“The Trump cabinet is ridiculous. Other than nobody being qualified whatsoever for their jobs, it's nothing but hero worship and idolizing their orange god,” one person remarked.

“Why are you complaining? This is the government that YOU have been dying to have. And have it - a monument to cronyism & sycophancy - you shall. I hope four years of this train wreck enrages America’s people never to have #DonaldTrump’s kind in the #WhiteHouse again. And to put the likes of you to pasture, because you support him,” another added.
