Antonio Brown shares sexist reason for not backing Harris in 2024 election: 'Lot of emotions with women'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former NFL player Antonio Brown revealed his reason for not supporting Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 general election during a recent podcast interview.
Brown appeared on the Thursday, November 21 episode of 'Caresha Please', a podcast hosted by rapper Caresha Brownlee, aka Yung Miami.
When questioned why GOP nominee Donald Trump, a White male candidate, prevailed over Harris, his Black female rival, in the presidential race, Brown voiced his opinion that women were too emotional.

While Caresha was asking why Kamala Harris, who shared both Black and Indian heritage from her father and mother's sides, respectively, lost to Trump, Brown interjected saying, "You think a woman can run for president?"
The athlete appeared baffled to even consider the possibility of having a woman hold the top office in the country, prompting the host to hit back, "I think Black women are powerful. Women are powerful. We go through a lot. We take care of men."
"I know but there’s a lot of emotions with women," replied Brown, digging himself into a deeper hole of sexist ideas.
Antonio Brown calls for Caresha Brownlee to back Donald Trump
Antonio Brown had appeared in the election campaign for the conservative candidate Trump, but it was news to Caresha who was taken aback when he asked her to publicly support the President-elect.
"Oh you support Donald Trump?" asked Caresha, to which Brown replied, "I think you should too. I think he's gonna be a good president."
However, he struggled to answer how the Republican president's policies could benefit the Black community, and simply stated, "I think he’s trying to do more for Black people but it’s up to us to fight for what we want."
Conservatives try to defend Antonio Brown's comment
Some netizens reacting on the Daily Mail website blamed Kamala Harris for Antonio Brown's sexist opinion, while a few trolled him for his take. The following examples demonstrate the takes.
"America would vote for a woman President, if she was sincere and of substance. Harris wasn’t," wrote a person.
"Fine, his choice, it’s a democracy and he wasn’t impressed with the candidate….. her failure," shared another.
"It was Kamala’s ridiculous response that she wouldn’t change anything from the past four years, that Biden did a great job that sealed it for me that I wouldn’t vote for her. Seriously? Can she not read the room?" expressed a third.
"I think it was sexist of women to believe other women should have voted for Harris BECAUSE she was a woman. Never mind the fact she was clearly incompetent and dishonest with the voters," noted a fourth.
"Incredible. Brown has lost every job and opportunity plus millions because of his emotional actions," retorted a person.
"That’s interesting considering Trump is extremely emotional and allows his temper and need to be liked rule his every decision. This guy clearly never thought that one through," jibed yet another.
Antonio Brown's support for Donald Trump
According to the Daily Mail, Antonio Brown had joined fellow former NFL player Le'Veon Bell at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania in October and also distributed Trump-Vance merch to Steelers fans ahead of a game.
"Before I get too deep in my speech, I know the media's gonna call me crazy," he said in his speech at the event. "Me and Trump crazy for having me speaking here. But I wanna make this clear... we are not. They are."

He went on to slam Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, saying, "Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, you really know they wanna put tampons in the boys' bathroom. Is that crazy? That's really insane right? And by the way, tampon Tim Walz, he isn't a real football coach. He could never guard me."
