‘Anxious’ Jennifer Lopez is ignoring questions about ex-BF Diddy as ‘she’s getting PTSD over it’: Source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez is allegedly “getting PTSD” over the messy situation involving her ex-boyfriend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, and is making it a point to “avoid” all questions about him.
Lopez dated the disgraced music mogul from 1999 to 2001 before she embarked on the first phase of her doomed romance with ex Ben Affleck.
However, according to the sources, the 55-year-old ‘Hustlers’ star is reportedly not thrilled about her past connection with the Bad Boy Records founder. After Diddy was arrested in September owing to his supposed connection in racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, Lopez has tried to avoid speaking publicly about him.
Jennifer Lopez is avoiding questions about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
As Diddy is awaiting his trial in May 2025, Jennifer Lopez is avoiding discussing her ex-flame publicly, says a source, per OK! Magazine.
"It’s no secret they had a very volatile relationship, but she doesn’t want to talk about it and is desperately hoping it will all just go away," dished the source about the ‘Atlas’ actress.
They further added, "Jennifer is ignoring all questions about Diddy, but she can’t ignore the anxiety that comes every time his name is mentioned.”
Moreover, the insider revealed that the entire situation is quite a stress-inducing ordeal for the ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer who is on the verge of suffering from mental trauma.
"She’s at the point now where she’s getting PTSD over it,” revealed the source, before adding, “She’s terrified where this will all end as far as her involvement goes.”
Lopez is allegedly afraid that she would also need to testify in the hearing, as the insider said, “It’s likely she’ll be formally interrogated."
However, as per Lopez’s ex-staffer, she has nothing to fear about her past connection to the ‘Last Night’ rapper.
Her ex-staffer Thea de Sousa strongly claimed that Lopez should not be dragged into his "criminal misdeeds" as she didn't know anything about it.
The ex-staffer, who worked with Lopez in her 2002 project ‘Maid in Manhattan’, shared on social media, per Blast, "If you knew Jennifer Lopez, if you ever worked with her like I did, or if you were close with people who are like family to her like I am, you would know she did not have any idea about Diddy.”
"She barely drinks, she is not a partier, she isn't a good time girl, she is a workaholic who uplifts [women] and who was charmed by him for a brief time in her life,” continued de Sousa.
She finally concluded her defense by saying that Lopez "does not deserve to be conflated with [Diddy's] shocking and criminal misdeeds."
Jennifer Lopez opened up about her ‘tempestuous’ relationship with Diddy
Jennifer Lopez, who dated Diddy at the beginning of the millennium, previously opened up about her “emotionally exhausting” relationship with the disgraced music mogul.
According to Daily Mail, Lopez said, “And we broke up many times before that, and got back together and broke up again, and nobody knew about it.”
She explained, "It was very tempestuous. Towards the end, it was emotionally exhausting. It was good that I was young."
In another interview with Vibe Magazine, Lopez blamed Diddy’s alleged infidelity for causing their break up, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The ‘Shotgun Wedding’ star said, "It was the first time I was with someone who wasn't faithful," and noted, "I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin."
Lopez added, "I can't remember right now, but I won't say it didn't happen," before noting, "I never caught him, but I just knew. He'd say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night."
She concluded by saying, "I had to think, do I want to be home with kids in 10 years wondering where somebody is at three in the morning?"
