LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Grande’s fans are extremely displeased with the number of Grammy nominations - or the lack thereof - the pop star received for her seventh album.

Recently, the Recording Academy, which conducts the prestigious event, announced the nominations for the various categories of Grammy Awards 2025.

Ariana Grande's ‘Eternal Sunshine’ not nominated in Big Four categories

Though Ariana Grande’s seventh studio album, ‘Eternal Sunshine’, which was released after her three-year hiatus, received three nominations, it was left out of the Big Four categories, reported Daily Mail.

The Arianators were left fuming over the nominations list as they felt the 31-year-old pop star was “snubbed” by the academy. Fans claimed that her album 'Eternal Sunshine' not only broke records but also featured some popular tracks like 'Yes, And?' and 'We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for your Love)'.

Though the 'Wicked' actress was left out of the nominations for Best Album or Best Record, she received nominations in three other categories. Her album was nominated for Pop Vocal Album, Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Grammy Award for Best Dance Pop Recording categories.

Ariana Grande's fans unhappy with her Grammy 'snub'

Fans of the singer were not happy that the pop star's 'Eternal Sunshine' was not nominated in the Album of the Year category for the 2025 Grammy Awards. They took to social media to express their disappointment and slammed the Recording Academy.

One fan said, "Literally an entirely self-produced album AND the only album this year to score two #1 singles like the grammys are so deadddddddd."

"Ariana grande, one of the few artists to almost entirely write, produce, and sing for her life on a personal, astonishingly constructed concept album. was once again, snubbed," another commented.

Someone else declared, "GRAMMYS ARE RIGGED. Ariana deserved AOTY nomination!!! And you guys knows that."

One person noted, "Ariana Grande was snubbed in the main categories… her album was worth the nomination."

"Ariana SEVERELY snubbed I’m so over them," added another disgruntled fan.

One individual remarked, "All deserved. But Ariana was heavily snubbed this year! She should’ve been included!"

"Eternal sunshine is one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year and the ONLY this year to have multiple #1 singles and still didn’t get an Album of the Year nominations the #GRAMMYs remain rigged," another added.

"Eternal sunshine deserved much more than only three secondary nominations on the grammys," one netizen noted.

One person wrote, "Eternal Sunshine got snubbed in the AOTY category. another year of ariana not being given the respect she deserves in the music industry. she is really being sabotaged and blackballed somebody save my sis…."

Ariana Grande’s history with the Grammys

This is, however, not the first time that Ariana Grande’s fans have been disappointed with the prestigious award. In 2019, the ‘Everyday’ singer gave the Grammy Awards a miss after having a disagreement with producer Ken Ehrlich.

According to reports. Ariana and Ehrlich’s team had a disagreement over the songs she was to perform.

Producer Ken Ehrlich said at that time that the pop star had pulled out of the show after a month of negotiations as it was too late for her to put a performance together.

"As it turned out when we finally got the point where we thought maybe it would work, she felt it was too late for her to pull something together for sure,” Ehrlich said in an interview at that time, per The AP.

Nevertheless, at that time, the former Nickelodeon star took to her social media to explain that the producers did not allow her to perform the songs she wanted.

Taking to her X account, Grande wrote, “I've kept my mouth shut but now you're lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.”

“I offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me,” she added.
