Following her 2014 interview, Ariana Grande briefly touched on her relationship with her father in 2017, when she shared a throwback photo of him with the caption, "I love you."

In 2018, she shared a black-and-white photo of her FaceTiming her father during Christmas. Ariana also sang about her father in her 2018 track 'Thank U, Next', as per Daily Mail.

"One day I’ll walk down the aisle/ holding hands with my mama/ I’ll be thanking my dad 'cause she grew from the drama," sang the pop star in her hit song, which is described as a celebratory ode to her failed relationships.

During her 2020 Grammy Awards performance, she even changed the lyrics to "I’ll be thanking my dad 'cause he’s really awesome" to give a shout-out to her father, who was present in the crowd, according to Elle Magazine.
