Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals how his 'nasty' feud with Sylvester Stallone ended: 'We made it work'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Arnold Schwarzenegger recently opened up about how his dynamic with Sylvester Stallone has changed after years of feuding.
Speaking with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, the 77-year-old said, as per PEOPLE, “We hated each other.”
It has been said that ‘The Terminator’ actor and Stallone were constantly on bad terms with each other as they rose as action movie stars in the 1980s.

Business venture changed Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone’s dynamics
Eventually things changed and the duo even worked together in the 2013’s ‘Escape Plan’ and starred together in several parts of ‘The Expendables’ franchise.
Schwarzenegger shared, “We were kind of attacking each other and doing nasty things and saying nasty things about each other and all these stupid things.”
But the change happened unexpectedly via a business venture. “All of a sudden, I started working with Robert Earl and Keith Parish to create the Planet Hollywood franchise, those restaurants,” he stated.

“The next thing I know is I get a phone call from my lawyer, who was also Sly’s lawyer, he said, ‘Arnold, is there any kind of room for Sly in Planet Hollywood?’” the former Governor of California revealed.
Arnold Schwarzenegger claims to have ‘grown out of craziness’ to accept Sylvester Stallone’s friendship
Arnold Schwarzenegger then told Andy Cohen that at that point he thought “that’s actually a good idea, because it could bring us together. And I wanted that. At that point I had grown out of my craziness.”
Ultimately in 1991, the Planet Hollywood restaurant chain was launched in New York City, and the ‘Fubar’ star excitedly announced, “Sure enough, we made it work.”
“And Bruce Willis became part of Planet Hollywood, Whoopi Goldberg became part of Planet Hollywood, Chuck Norris… It really was kind of an international cast,” he added.
Arnold Schwarzenegger says Sylvester Stallone 'was very helpful in' his career

This came after last year, the two icons gave a joint interview for ‘TMZ Presents: Arnold & Sly: Rivals, Friends, Icons’.
Schwarzenegger admitted at the time, as reported by PEOPLE, “There’s no two ways about that: He [Stallone] was very helpful in my career because I had something that I could chase.”
The ‘Rambo’ star also mentioned that when Schwarzenegger “came along, I was like, finally, something to motivate me. Because he is, dare I say it, a competition, a threat, whatever word you wanna use.”
“As soon as I saw him, it was like bang, two alphas hitting. If we walked into a party, we’d be staring at each other for a few seconds, and then, I gotta get that guy. He didn’t do anything wrong, but he will,” Stallone added.
