Barron Trump 'not interested' in carrying on his father Donald's political legacy, reveals source

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: If you were banking on Barron Trump to carry the political torch, it looks like he’s taking a hard pass.
According to insiders close to the 19-year-old NYU student, Donald and Melania Trump’s only child has zero interest in politics.
Barron "is not interested," a university source told NewsNation. The insider said that he’s nothing like the firebrand POTUS, explaining that Barron “is much more like his mother, Melania — he keeps his head down and gets on with it. He is not trying to be BMOC (big man on campus).”
Barron Trump is not big on politics
“Barron is pretty apolitical — he doesn’t get involved,” the insider said. ”That’s not what he’s interested in."
Unlike his father, Barron prefers life out of the spotlight. "Barron has a really nice girlfriend and hangs out with her a lot," the source said. "He does have friends he just (unlike his father Donald Trump) screws the limelight.”

Think again if you’re imagining Barron at NYU leading College Republicans meetings, waving MAGA hats, and preparing for CPAC speeches. Even the campus political leaders say he’s kept his distance.
“He goes to class, he goes home,” former NYU College Republicans president Kaya Walker told Vanity Fair back in February. Walker described Barron as “sort of like an oddity on campus,” saying he kept to himself. (Walker was forced to resign soon after making those remarks public.)
Other students backed this up. TMZ once reported that Barron rarely interacted in person and instead preferred to ask for people’s Discord usernames so they could game together online.
His social life was more about “hanging out with those friends online after school is finished,” according to sources quoted by the Daily Mail. They reportedly suggested that he "may have had a more difficult time fitting in at NYU this year than any of his fellow students."
Barron Trump might be world's most watched bachelor
While Barron Trump might be avoiding politics, he’s still not flying completely under the radar due to his family's visibility.
His older brother Eric Trump had some advice for him. "My advice to Barron is you are the most watched person, probably the most watched bachelor in the world right now," Eric advised, as reported by the Independent. "Just be careful. There are a lot of eyes on you."
Last year, an anonymous source spilled to People that he’s "really popular with the ladies… A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him.”
So while Barron might be dodging the political spotlight, he’s having no trouble drawing attention and not just because of his famous last name. The fact that he’s six-foot-nine doesn't help.
Melania Trump approves of Barron's choices
Barron Trump may not be making speeches yet, but that hasn’t stopped people from analyzing every decision he makes, starting with where he decided to go to college.
Last August, his father teased the New York Post that his youngest son had picked a “good” school in New York. A month later, Donald confirmed to the Daily Mail that Barron had “been accepted to a lot of colleges,” before finally revealing that he chose NYU.
Melania also opened up that month, telling Fox News that the college move was all Barron’s idea. “It was his decision to come here that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home, and I respect that,” she said. She emphasized that she raised Barron to be “his own person” and “gave him his own yes and no’s” while growing up.
As for how she’s feeling with her only child now at college, she told Ainsley Earhardt that she doesn’t consider herself an empty nester. “I could not say I’m an empty nester. I don’t feel that way,” Melania said.
