Barron Trump 'admires' Andrew Tate, sought dating advice from influencer's best friend: Report
WASHINGTON, DC: Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump, reportedly took part in a Zoom call with controversial influencer Andrew Tate, who is facing serious criminal allegations and took dating advice from Tate's close associate, according to a new NYT report.
The report highlights the connection between the Trump family and the online manosphere.
Barron Trump's reported call with Andrew Tate
According to the Times' report that was published on Wednesday, December 10, Barron spoke to self-proclaimed misogynist influencer and accused offender Andrew Tate on Zoom and received dating advice from one of Tate’s associates.
According to Justin Waller, a mutual friend who was on the call, Barron “admired” Tate and “spoke with him over Zoom last year.
During the conversation, the two reportedly “discussed their shared belief that the Romanian criminal case was an effort to silence the Tates.”
Waller, who has been described as “Andrew Tate’s best friend,” also reportedly built a relationship with the president’s son.
Influencer connections and growing rapport
“As [Barron’s] father was going after young male voters on the campaign trail, the teenager hosted a dinner at Mar-a-Lago for influencers,” the Times reported. “Among them was Mr Waller, who has helped run the Tates’ courses and told The Times he is widely seen as the ‘third brother.'”
In an interview with the Times, Waller likened himself to a “big brother” figure to Barron and revealed that he had even spoken to the president’s son about dating.
Waller also told the outlet Barron was “not a bad ally to have – let’s be frank.”
Tate, who once declared, “I am absolutely sexist, I am absolutely a misogynist,” has previously boasted about his relationship with the Trump family, claiming in 2023, “I’m very close with the Trump family. I know them well.”
But the Times report was called ‘fake news’ by a lawyer for the Tate brothers.
Andrew Tate, a controversial influencer
Tate is an American and British social media personality, businessman, and former professional kickboxer who is notoriously famous for promoting various highly controversial positions in the manosphere, which has resulted in his expulsion from various social media platforms and concerns that he promotes misogynistic views to his audience.
As of March 2025, Andrew and his brother, Tristan Tate, are currently facing six investigations in three separate countries: Romania, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Tate has been described as the "king of toxic masculinity" and is politically described as both right-wing and far-right.
