NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Stephen Colbert has responded scathingly to former President Donald Trump's reported private remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris as a “b**ch.”

“Sir, it’s pronounced karma,” Colbert quipped. “And yeah, it’s a b**ch.”

The ‘Late Show’ host also offered the 78-year-old ex-president some comedy advice following a joke about VP Harris that didn't go over well at a recent campaign rally, according to HuffPost.

What did Stephen Colbert say regarding Donald Trump during his ‘Late Show’ monologue?

Stephen Colbert shed light on how former President Donald Trump has been struggling to define his new Democratic opponents, while Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, have been drawing huge crowds of energized Democratic voters at their campaign rallies.

Colbert said, “Reportedly, in private, he's even worse, with insiders describing him as ‘knocked off his bearings’, ‘disoriented’ and ‘struggling to get past his anger’.”

“Well, of course, he's grieving. No, listen. He's grieving for his lost lead against Joe Biden,” he claimed. “He's going through all the Trump stages of grief. It goes anger, anger, denial that you're angry, hanger, and nugget bucket.”

Colbert continued, “Trump's being a real potty-mouth about his opponent too. According to The New York Times, in private, he is repeatedly called Kamala a ‘b**ch’.”

“Sir, it's pronounced karma, and yeah, it's a b**ch,” he remarked, referencing the former president's inability to pronounce Harris' name correctly.

“Now, part of his frustration here is that Trump can't figure out how to define his opponents,” the 60-year-old comedian explained. “So this weekend, at a rally in the crucial swing state of Montana, he tried this.”

Colbert then aired footage from Trump’s campaign rally in Bozeman, Montana on Friday, August 9.

Trump addressed the crowd, saying, “Kamala Harris, you know, it's interesting. Nobody really knows her last name. If you ask people, do you know what her last name is? Nobody has any idea what it is.”

“Harris, it's like Harris. I don't know how the hell did this happen,” he added, to little or no reaction from his gathering of supporters.

Colbert interjected, “As someone who tells jokes for a living, let me just, little advice.”

“If the punchline is that no one knows that her last name is Harris, don't say Harris in the setup,” he said,

Colbert then imitated the 2024 Republican presidential candidate, saying, “Folks, why did the chicken who was trying to get to the other side, cross the road? I don't know how the hell did this happen.”

The ‘Late Show’ host quipped in conclusion to his opening monologue, “The Harris campaign is also hitting Trump right in the hat, selling a Harris-Walz camo hat, and it's being called ‘the most iconic political hat in America’ and it sold out of its initial inventory within 30 minutes with sales totaling nearly one million dollars, which means, which means all over the American wilderness, the last thought of dying turkeys is ‘Ah, I thought she was gonna go with Buttigieg.’”
