'Be passionate': Jason Kelce receives tips for Pennsylvania Governor run from Arnold Schwarzenegger on Travis Kelce's request

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Hollywood icon and former governor of California, advised Jason Kelce about a possible run for Pennsylvania Governor.

This came about when Travis Kelce, Jason’s brother, asked Schwarzenegger on the 'New Heights' podcast, "Do you think he should run for governor of Pennsylvania?”

Schwarzenegger responded to Travis’s question thoughtfully, saying, "It has to be in his heart.”

He continued, "The most important thing is name recognition. So, of course he has that."

'The Terminator' actor added, "The second most important thing is you have to be passionate." Arnold told Jason to be passionate and see himself as a Governor as he did.

"You have to really say, ‘I see myself as the Governor.’ Like I did. I saw myself as the Governor and I was absolutely convinced I could do a better job than the politicians did," Schwarzenegger said according to US Weekly. 

Jason, who recently retired from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, seemed to take Schwarzenegger’s advice to heart.

He said, “Don’t get me pumped up right now to go do this. I’ve got a clear vision of my career right now.”

Despite Jason’s reservations, Schwarzenegger continued to encourage him, even suggesting that he could go from “Governor to President!"

Jason also asked Schwarzenegger for advice on losing weight while maintaining muscle mass.

Schwarzenegger advised him, “It’s unnecessary to go and try to out-do the lifting and all that stuff."

"I’d rather see you doing 12-15 reps of exercise and doing it as strict as possible and to do many sets," he said.

"Do it the right way and gain the muscle size, rather than just torture yourself and have injuries. That time should be over for you,” he added.

"There’s all kinds of interviews being scheduled for movie parts. You guys have it lined up, you just don’t want to give it away right now," Schwarzenegger said thinking the Kelce brothers were auditioning in Hollywood.

Notably, Travis, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, has expressed interest in the entertainment industry.

Travis recently served as an executive producer on ‘My Dead Friend Zoe’ and is producing an upcoming documentary about the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat called ‘King Pleasure’.

He’s also in talks to host a reboot of ‘Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader', according to People. "I’m not stupid, right?" he asked.

Jason is also keeping his options open after his recent retirement from the NFL.

He recently appeared in a cameo on 'Abbott Elementary' and has expressed interest in staying involved with the Eagles organization.

His wife, Kylie Kelce, supports any future moves he might make, stating that “nothing is off the table at this point.”
