Ben Affleck continues to ‘flatter’ Jennifer Lopez to save his $150M fortune from her, claims source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck is making every effort to be nice and pleasant to his soon-to-be ex wife Jennifer Lopez in a desperate attempt to save his $150 million fortune from going to her.
The estranged couple had tied the knot in July 2022 in a surprise drive-thru ceremony in Las Vegas but this year in August, Lopez filed for divorce.
She mentioned the date of separation as April 26 and gave irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split.
Tipsters have claimed that the ‘Good Will Hunting’ star feels relieved amid their split but he also does not want to annoy the 55-year-old singer, who he thinks can make their divorce process really messy, reported RadarOnline.
Affleck recently called the ‘The Boy Next Door’ star’s performance in the movie ‘Unstoppable’ “spectacular”.
Ben Affleck being ‘nice’ to Jennifer Lopez for his own sake
A tipster shared, “Ben's telling everyone that Jennifer's great in the movie because he knows she'll be pleased to hear it. That shows what a suck-up he is.”
They continued, “Clearly, his flattery is meant to oil the wheels of their divorce so it goes as smoothly as possible,” before adding, “Ben's doing everything he can to avoid a protracted divorce and save whatever he can financially.”
The mole added, “Ben is relieved he got out of that relationship and loves being on his own again. He really feels he's dodged a bullet, but if Jennifer knew all this, she wouldn't be so agreeable. That's why he's being so nice to her.”
Jennifer Lopez's net worth stands at $400 million. The absence of a prenup means that all assets amassed during their marriage will be treated as community property.
Jennifer Lopez says being in a relationship 'doesn’t define’ her
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez is reportedly more focused on herself and her wellbeing amid her divorce with Ben Affleck.
In October, she told Interview Magazine, “I think, with everything that’s happened in my life and in my relationships and even in my career, it’s like, give yourself a bit of comfort and love.”
“We’ve been through a lot of things that nobody knows about, and you’ve persevered and you refuse to give up and to let it get you down,” the ‘Maid in Manhattan’ star added.
The ‘On The Floor’singer also claimed that “being in a relationship doesn’t define me".
“I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself. I used to say I’m a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, ‘No, I’m actually good’," the mother-of-two stated.
