Jennifer Lopez trying to rekindle romance with ex Ben Affleck using family time, claims source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A long-drawn divorce battle might prove exhausting to the parties involved. At the same time, the long waiting time may also provide fruitful for reconciliation.
If rumors are to be believed, Jennifer Lopez is banking on the latter to once again win back her estranged ex-husband, Ben Affleck.
Recently, a source told the Heat World, as quoted by Marca, the 'Hustlers' star is banking on family time during the holiday season to get her relationship with the 'Argo' actor back on track.
Jennifer Lopez 'demanding' she and Ben Affleck continue doing group activities with their children
It’s been almost three months since Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. However, their separation happened way earlier, as the ‘Jenny From The Block’ star listed the date as April 26 in the divorce filing.
Their lives remain intertwined owing to their respective children.
While the 'Gigli' couple never had any children together, they both welcomed children with their previous spouses. Affleck welcomed three children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel, with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, while Lopez shares her twins, Max and Emme, with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.
During their two-year marriage, Affleck and Lopez's children became extremely close with each other.
A source has dished that the children’s proximity allegedly inspired Lopez not to "give up" on her ex.
The insider said, "Ben has been trying to distance himself from Jen, but she just won't let him."
They further claimed, "She's been showing up at the same events as him and demanding they continue doing group activities with the kids," before adding, "If he doesn't agree then he's the bad guy."
"Now, she's pushing for them to do joint celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas, saying it's for the children, but Ben isn't buying it's just about them," shared the tipster.
Ben Affleck does not want to 'get crucified' in divorce drama
Ben Affleck, on the other hand, is taking extra care not to get painted as the "bad guy" in the divorce deal. Recently, the 'Good Will Hunting' star praised his ex by calling her performance in his Artists' Equity-backed movie 'Unstoppable' as "spectacular."
A source revealed that Affleck is trying to avoid getting things against himself.
Speaking to an outlet, the insider said, "Ben is correct to turn on the charm because he doesn't want to get crucified in the divorce deal. The numbers are off the scale; the lack of a prenup doesn't help things," per RadarOnline.
They added, "Ben is mounting a charm and damage limitation offensive in tandem so, sure, he's gonna say all the right things about Jennifer."
