LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck reportedly feels jealous over Tom Cruise's budding romance with his ex-girlfriend Ana de Armas.
Sources close to the 'Argo' star say the actor was caught off guard after Cruise and de Armas were spotted enjoying a stroll in a London park on her birthday, fueling dating rumors.

Ben Affleck, who dated the 'Knives Out' actress from 2020 to 2021, is said to find the pairing “a little weird” given his long-standing friendship with Tom Cruise.
“Ben’s kind of a jealous,” a source shared with Daily Mail. “He really liked Ana a lot and then she walked away and left him sad. So to see her happy with his friend is kind of weird for him.”
The source also noted that Affleck has long admired Cruise’s blockbuster action career, though there’s an undercurrent of professional envy among peers saying, “I think every working actor in Hollywood is jealous of Tom's success and Ben is not any different.”
The insider added, “But Ben is also happy for Tom. I mean, he admires that a colleague in his sixties is still going hard on the big screen. Ben hopes to be so lucky one day.”
In response to the Cruise-Ana match, Affleck’s inner circle has jokingly suggested that he should get revenge by dating Cruise’s ex-wife, Katie Holmes. While amusing, the idea is more fantasy than feasible — Holmes is based in New York, and Affleck resides in Los Angeles, making a romance unlikely.

Interestingly, both actors have a history of dating women in each other's orbits. Ben Affleck once dated Gwyneth Paltrow, whom Tom Cruise famously kissed on-screen. Paltrow reminisced about a brief cameo she did early on in 'Austin Powers 3', saying, “I got to make out with Tom Cruise. He was an amazing kisser!”
Cruise also shared the dance floor with Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Lopez at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.
As for Lopez, she recently opened up about overcoming her split from Affleck in 2024, crediting her twins for guiding her through the emotional period.
She shared that during a “difficult” chapter in her life, it was her children who grounded her and gave her a sense of “peace” she desperately needed. In an interview with Spain’s El País, she recalled, “I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you're going to see that I'll come out the other side stronger and better. I promised them that and I did it.”
She went on to say, “I'm happier that I'm a step further along than I was a year ago, two years ago, three years ago. I'm proud of myself for that and I'm proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, that they're stronger and better because of it. So, it's a great time to go out there and dance and sing and have a good time with everybody.”
