LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck had only nice words for his estranged wife, Jennifer Lopez, amid their ongoing divorce.

Ben Affleck praises 'passion' Jennifer Lopez showed in 'Unstoppable'
During the interview, Ben Affleck also discussed his film 'Unstoppable', which stars Jennifer Lopez, as per Us Weekly.
The 52-year-old actor reportedly said, "Unstoppable is a very different movie than this but in a way it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists. [Director] Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer [Lopez] and Don Cheadle and Jharrel [Jerome], and Bobby Cannavale, all were really passionate about this film."
He also praised his estranged wife's performance saying she "is spectacular."
"[Unstoppable is] another one that we’re really really proud of. We believed in the right people [in Small Things Like These] and Unstoppable is another example of that," added Affleck.
He co-produced 'Unstoppable' with his longtime friend, Matt Damon, who is also a part of 'Small Things Like These'. Affleck was noticeably absent from the world premiere of the film at the Toronto International Film Festival, which took place just weeks after Lopez filed for divorce.
Jennifer Lopez says she has been 'through a lot of things'
Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on August 20, the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony. The pair had rekindled their romance in 2021 and eloped in Las Vegas in July 2022.
In her filing, which cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, the official separation date was noted as April 26.
Lopez acknowledged her divorce during an interview with Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine, published on October 9.
She shared, "I think my whole life I’ve just been trying to say I’m good enough, until where I am now, when I know. I’m giving myself credit.. I’m telling that little girl that grew up in the Bronx, ‘You’ve done really good for yourself.’ I didn’t do that for so many years."
The ‘On The Floor’ singer further said, "Now I think, with everything that’s happened in my life and in my relationships and even in my career, it’s like, give yourself a bit of comfort and love. We’ve been through a lot of things that nobody knows about, and you’ve persevered and you refuse to give up and to let it get you down."
"There’s something to be said for that because things can really change your life in a way that you do want to give up and say, ‘F**k this, this is too hard, I don’t want to do this anymore.’ But I’m not there. I refuse to not give myself everything that little girl deserves," added Lopez.
The 55-year-old also spoke about the importance of hard moments in life. She asserted, "It’s not until you go through incredibly hard moments and huge disappointments that you never could have imagined, that these things start becoming crystal clear."
