Ben Affleck reveals his children are toughest critics as they roast actor's 'terrible' movies

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck has never been one to shy away from public criticism, but when it comes to honest reviews, he admits his toughest critics are at home.
During an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on Wednesday, April 23, the actor opened up about how blunt his three children can be regarding his work.

Ben Affleck, who shares daughters Violet, 19, and Seraphina, 16, and son Samuel, 13, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, revealed that they all attended the premiere of his upcoming film 'The Accountant 2'.
The actor admitted he was excited but also nervous about their reaction.
“They’re, like, very tough,” Affleck said during his interview. “And they don’t censor their criticism, you know what I mean?" the 'Pearl Harbor' star said.
"They’ll sit right next to me watching a movie, and just, while it’s happening, ‘This is terrible. I mean, this is terrible! Why did you do this?’” he added.

Despite their usual brutal honesty, Ben Affleck shared a rare moment of relief when his children enjoyed 'The Accountant 2'.
“They liked it! At first, it was one of those things where they looked at me like you thought I was looking at you, which was like, ‘What’s the catch?’” 'Gone Girl' actor said.
He continued, “I was like, ‘What, you really liked it?’ And they were like, ‘Yeah, it was good.’ And they were shocked. You know what I mean? As if I got lucky," Affleck said.
"This magical accident happened, and something I did was okay," he said, per The Wrap.

Not all of Ben Affleck's past work has been a hit at home. He recalled showing 'Armageddon' to his children during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, hoping they'd love it.
“Almost immediately. It was like, ‘What? What is — this is so stupid! Are you kidding me?’” Affleck revealed.
He added, “My son was like, he said, ‘This doesn’t make sense.’ I was like, ‘This is not a logic-based film. That is not one of the criteria we used making this,’” he joked.
