LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Briahna Joy Gray, the former press secretary for Bernie Sanders and host of The Hill's 'Rising', announced that she had been fired from the news organization due to controversy surrounding her denial of reports that Hamas was raping Israeli women.

Gray has come under fire for several anti-Israeli remarks since October, when the Israel-Hamas war began. She shared the "notice of contract termination" she got from the show's owner, Nexstar Media Group, on Thursday, June 6.

"It finally happened. The Hill has fired me. There should be no doubt that @RisingTheHill has a clear pattern of suppressing speech -- particularly when it's critical of the state of Israel. This is why they fired @kthalps, & it was only a matter of time before they fired me," Gray wrote on X, per Fox News.

Briahna Joy Gray recently rolled her eyes at the sister of a Hamas hostage

Gray gained notoriety most recently when a video of her seemingly rolling her eyes at the sister of Hamas hostage Yarden Gonen, who made an appearance on the show on Tuesday, went viral. "I really hope that you specifically will believe women when they say that they got hurt," Gonen said.

The remark was probably directed at Gray's December X (formerly Twitter) post, in which she disputed reports that Israeli women had been raped by Hamas terrorists during the attacks on October 7.

"Providing no evidence, @StateDeptSpox advances theory that unreleased female Israeli hostages are rape victims who Hamas withheld bc they don't want them to speak publicly about their treatment. What we *know* so far is that Israeli hostages that have been allowed to speak to the press affirmed humane treatment, while Palestinian hostages have attested to beatings & sexual assault," Gray posted.

Popular personalities celebrated Briahna Joy Gray's firing

Nexstar Media Group confirmed that Gray is no longer a contributor for The Hill's 'Rising'. Some even celebrated the firing after Gray's post announcing the loss of her job.

"And I guarantee the women who’s sister has been held hostage for 8months isn’t happy about you being fired, but I am. You’re a race hustling con artist," actor Michael Rapaport wrote.

Conservative commentator Pradheep Shankar wrote, "Good. Let antisemites find other sites."

"It finally happened! So glad to have been wrong that they wouldn’t go through with it! Took them long enough! The 8th month anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attack that Briahna Joy Gray couldn’t be bothered to show sympathy for the victims’ families is tmrw," Townhall.com web editor Rebecca Downs commented.

"Couldn’t happen to a worse person," 'The Rubin Report' host Dave Rubin tweeted.

Attorney Damin Toell joked, "If only literally everybody had seen this coming months ago. Did you try rolling your eyes when they fired you?"

Internet lashes at Briahna Joy Gray after she's fired

Netizens also supported Gray's firing due to her antisemitic remarks.

One X user tweeted, "She’s a holocaust denier as well. Leftist have shown their true colors since 10-7."

Another wrote, "Thank God. She was insufferable! So partisan!"

"She should have been fired long ago. If she had said anything about any other religion, she would have," opined one.

"That’s great because she is a real disgrace a dishonest hateful antisemite," added one user.
