Biden trolled as he loses train of thought, makes bizarre remarks at White House 4th of July celebrations
WASHINGTON, DC: President Biden, 81, made several peculiar gaffes during the White House's Fourth of July celebration, including an odd greeting to the crowd with "Ho ho ho! Happy Independence Day!"
Joined on stage by First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, Biden attempted to deliver a short holiday message after Harris introduced him as the "extraordinary" President Biden.
Joe Biden's Fourth of July speech highlights mixed messaging and stage presence
While he appeared more energetic than during his criticized June 27 debate, his statements remained unclear despite being delivered with increased volume.
"We gotta do what our founders did: show the world we’re a nation of dignity, honor, and just devotion to one another," he declared before encouraging the audience to enjoy the fireworks.
As Bruce Springsteen's 'Born in the USA' played, the group exited the stage, with Biden trailing behind. He paused mid-step, appearing uncertain about whom to hand the microphone to. Eventually, he passed it to a stagehand and descended a short flight of stairs before mingling with the crowd.

Joe Biden's mixed remarks and controversial statements at White House barbecue
Earlier in the day, during a brief speech at a White House barbecue, Biden appeared to lose his train of thought. He oddly claimed that highway congestion no longer exists and nearly referred to his political rival Donald Trump as his "colleague."
"I probably shouldn’t even say that … anyway," he said after this bumble to a crowd of military service members and their families.
Throughout his four-minute speech, Biden trailed off several times, occasionally slurring his words despite relying on a teleprompter. His remarks centered on his recent visit to Normandy to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day and to honor the "heroes" who sacrificed their lives for democracy.
Comparing World War I to the modern presidential race, he questioned whether Americans would make similar sacrifices in his race against Trump, before abruptly stopping a dig at the presumptive Republican nominee.
"By the way, I was in that World War I cemetery in France, and one that my colleagues, the former president, didn’t want to go and be up there," he started, before admitting he shouldn’t have made the comment.

He also strangely claimed he was "in and out of battle" during the trip, another statement he cut short with his usual segue: "Anyway."

After leaving the stage to applause, Biden grabbed the microphone for a 30-second encore in which he claimed traffic is no longer an issue, a statement that likely baffled New Yorkers.
"One last thing, and I used to think when I was a senator, there was always congestion on the highways. There’s no congestion anymore. We go on the highway, there’s no congestion," he said.
"And so what? The way they get me to stop talking, they’ll say, ‘We just shut down all the roads, Mr President, you’re gonna lose all the votes if you don’t get in.' But anyway, I’ll be back out," he added, making zero sense.

Joe Biden trolled on social media
Social media was flooded with reactions trolling the President.
"Seems like just another bad night," one user posted on X.
"Must still be jet-lagged," another chimed in. "Biden's train of thought is always leaving the station without him," quipped another user.
Someone else pleaded, "He can't even follow a prompter anymore. For the love of God, won't somebody step in and stop this?"
While another person insisted, "It was brutal to watch. I don’t like Biden but it’s getting very sad and cruel to let this continue. He needs to be in a retirement home where he can enjoy the rest of his life."

Speculation swirls as Democrats assess Biden's debate performance and leadership
These incidents come amid rumors that establishment Democrats are considering replacing Biden due to his age and frequent gaffes.
Former Obama presidential adviser Van Jones stated Thursday that the party is now in "full-scale panic" following Biden's poorly received debate performance against former President Donald Trump.
During the 90-minute debate, Biden made several blunders, including incorrectly stating that his son Beau "died in Iraq" and that he "beat Medicare," as well as appearing to freeze at one point, the New York Post reported.
