According to Fox News, the pop icon, who has been dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is known to be very close to the wife of Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The two had often shared suites in the previous season.

However, Maher's speculation was fuelled by Mahomes liking a post in support of GOP nominee Donald Trump on social media, whom Swift had strongly denounced in the past.

When she faced strong online backlash for her action, she defended herself on the platform, stating, "I mean honestly, To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There's no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well."

She even liked a social media comment that read "TRUMP-VANCE 2024."

Mahomes' support was acknowledged by the former president himself, who recently wrote on Truth Social, "I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country."

On the Friday, September 6, episode of 'Real Time With Bill Maher', late-night host Bill Maher added to the speculation of an increasing rift between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes, resulting from the difference in their political opinions.

He stated, "Yesterday, the NFL season started. In the past, Taylor Swift – she was always in the same box with Brittany Mahomes. And now, they can't sit in the same box."

As the audience laughed, Maher added, "I guess because Brittany liked some of Trump's tweets, and Taylor is for Kamala. Don't you think partisanship has gone too far?"
