NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Lisa, a member of the globally renowned K-pop girl group Blackpink, is all set to join the cast of HBO's luxury vacation anthology 'White Lotus' for its third season.

The news has sparked concern among fans who are worried that the singer, already juggling multiple pursuits, may be "overbooked."

Lisa, who will be credited under her given name, Lalisa Manobal, adds a dash of Blackpink to the vibrant palette of 'White Lotus'. As per Variety, details about her character, like all other casting for the upcoming season, remain a closely guarded secret.

Lisa from Blackpink is set to make her acting debut in the third season of HBO's 'White Lotus', joining a star-studded cast that includes Walton Goggins, Parker Posey, and Carrie Coon.

This follows Jennie, another Blackpink member, who made her screen debut in HBO's 'The Idol'.

Blackpink, a global music sensation, has sold millions of records in South Korea and has also made a significant impact in the US, with their 2022 album 'Born Pink' topping the Billboard 200 chart.

The third season of 'White Lotus', set in Thailand, will also see Natasha Rothwell reprising her role as spa manager Belinda.

Lalisa Manobal is reportedly represented by Lloud Co. 'The White Lotus' was created by Mike White, who also serves as the executive producer and director.

David Bernad and Mark Kamine are also on the executive production team. For the third installment, HBO has collaborated with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to facilitate filming and promotion.

Upon hearing the news of Lisa's debut, fans took to social media to express their concerns about the singer being "overbooked" amid her other pursuits. 

A fan tweeted, "Spill the tea sis, but isn't Lisa like, totally overbooked? Between blinks and snowball beanies, could she be the next queen of screen?"
