Blake Lively accuses Justin Baldoni of secretly sending her to weight loss specialist
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Lively has alleged in her sexual harassment lawsuit against ‘It Ends with Us’ co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, that she was fat-shamed by him.
In her lawsuit filed on Friday, December 20, in the California Civil Rights Department, the actress accused the ‘Jane the Virgin’ actor of sending her to a weight loss specialist without informing her.
One of the incidents mentioned in the court papers revealed that Baldoni approached Lively after she caught strep throat during the filming of the 2024 movie, as reported by E! News.
Blake Lively claims Justin Baldoni wanted her to meet weight loss expert
Justin Baldoni reportedly proposed to help fix a meeting for Blake Lively with a specialist on probiotics. But the ‘Gossip Girl’ star was stunned to find that the expert was actually a weight loss specialist while filling out the privacy forms.
In her complaint, Lively likened the experience to fat shaming.
Lively began working on 'It Ends with Us' just a few months after delivering her and Ryan Reynolds’ fourth baby, and had naturally put on some weight.

Blake Lively hopes to ‘pull back the curtain on sinister retaliatory tactics’
Along with this allegation, the 40-year-old actor has also been accused by Blake Lively of creating a toxic work environment for her on the sets on 'It Ends with Us'.
In the complaint, Lively accuses Baldoni of embarking on a “multi-tiered plan” to damage her reputation following a meeting in which she and her husband Ryan Reynolds addressed repeated harassment and "other disturbing behavior” by Baldoni and a producer on the movie.
“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” ‘The Age of Adaline’ star mentioned in her lawsuit.
Justin Baldoni calls Blake Lively allegations ‘intentionally salacious’
However, Justin Baldoni’s lawyer has dismissed the accusations.
In a statement, Bryan Freedman said, “It is shameful that Ms Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations against Mr Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its representatives.”
“These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media,” he added.
Voices of support for Blake Lively amid Justin Baldoni lawsuit
Meanwhile, many people have come out in support of Blake Lively, including 'It Ends With Us' author Colleen Hoover.
In her Instagram Story, she posted, “@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.”
Lively’s ‘A Simple Favor’ director Paul Feig also joined in the chorus of voices supporting the actress. He posted, “I’ve now made two movies with Blake and all I can say is she’s one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, talented and kind people I’ve ever worked with.”
“She truly did not deserve any of this smear campaign against her. I think it’s awful she was put through this,” Feig added.
