Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, May 10, the ‘Gossip Girl’ star posted a very lively photo of Elaine. “She makes every day special for everyone around her. Especially her babies and grandbabies. She isn’t just beautiful, she creates beauty, with her hands, her stories, her playfulness, her creativity, her incredible ingenuity and her love,” Lively mentioned.
The 38-year-old entrepreneur, who has four children with her actor husband Ryan Reynolds, then went on to note how grateful she is to have Elaine as her mother.
“I’m so grateful, now and forever to have been shaped by your heart full of love, optimism and magic. You make the ordinary extraordinary. I love you. Thank you mama.” Lively added.
Blake Lively settles legal battle with Justin Baldoni
Her sweet personal note for her mom came just a few days after she settled her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
The ‘A Simple Favor’ star accused her ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star of harassment as well as creating a hostile work environment. She also alleged that Baldoni planned a smear campaign against her.
But the 42-year-old actor hit back at her with a countersuit, which was dismissed last year. The case was about to go to trial when the two parties reached an out-of-court settlement.
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni seek closure after settlement
Later, a joint statement was shared via their lawyers.
It read, “The end product — the movie ‘It Ends With Us’ — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind.”
“We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard. We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online,” the statement added.
