LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Lively has been "relying" on her best friend Taylor Swift to help her get through the recent media "storm".

She hopes to "use their friendship" to divert attention from the controversy while promoting her new movie, 'It Ends With Us', co-starring Justin Baldoni.

Blake Lively 'relying' on BFF Taylor Swift to deal with 'It Ends with Us' controversy

Blake Lively, 36, has been the center of controversy in recent weeks due to persistent claims that she and her 'It Ends with Us' co-star, Justin Baldoni, 40, are at odds.

A source has now revealed how the actress studied her best friend, Taylor Swift, 34, to be able to handle the situation she has found herself in.

According to Daily Mail, Blake has allegedly been exploiting her friendship with the 'Lover' singer to divert attention away from the controversy surrounding her recently released film.

Although it has been suggested that Blake imitated one of Taylor's promotional strategies in an attempt to make her movie more successful, the strategy failed, leading her to turn to the same buddy for assistance.

The insider spilled the beans saying, "Blake has been relying on Taylor to get her through this storm in the same way that she relied on her every step of the way during the filming of 'It Ends with Us'."

"Taylor knows how to handle backlash better than anyone," the source added.

Since the pop singer frequently includes cryptic hints about her breakups and conflicts with other celebrities, listeners are left to speculate about the meaning of her lyrics.

Blake attempted a similar approach in her continuing dispute with Baldoni, trying to quietly criticize him without bringing out his name in public.

Blake has reportedly been criticizing the 'Jane the Virgin' actor by unfollowing him and participating in interviews with all of the cast members save him, but never really opening about what happened between them.

Furthermore, the insider claimed that the actress is deliberately bringing up her friendship with the pop icon in "interviews and other promotional work" hoping it might "help pull her out of this mess".

"Blake is trying to get Taylor to help pull her out of this mess by using their friendship for interviews and other promotional work directly related to the film amid the current backlash that she is getting," the source concluded.

Blake Lively gushes about BFF Taylor Swift to deflect attention from 'It Ends With Us' drama

Blake Lively took a moment away from discussing her new movie, 'It Ends With Us,' to wax eloquent praise on best friend Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, on Wednesday, August 14.

On BBC's 'Radio 1 Breakfast,' a caller voiced their opinion during a game of 'Unpopular Opinion' that 'Love Story' ought to be removed from the Eras Tour lineup so that another 'Fearless' song might "thrive in the spotlight".

The 36-year-old 'Gossip Girl' alumnus replied right away, "That’s rough. You just hate happiness or joy? Or just your ears? You don’t like your ears?"

Blake went on to say that she "honestly" wished the singer's shows lasted "47 hours long so that all the songs could be played at all times".

"So my popular opinion is that [I want] all, like, yes. Every song. What’s the setlist? Yes."

The actress also mentioned that she believes she hasn't seen enough performances of the Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift gets dragged into Blake Lively's 'It Ends With Us' drama

Taylor Swift has inadvertently been drawn into Blake Lively's ongoing 'It Ends With Us' conflict with vile trolls accusing the actress of using the singer for "clout".

Taylor is one of Blake's closest friends, as internet trolls have pointed out, and they erroneously associated the 'Lover' hitmaker with some of the 'Gossip Girl' starlet's actions.

"Blake Lively being a mean girl and everyone being shocked is so funny to me. She’s best friends with Taylor Swift…," one X (formerly Twitter) user wrote.

Another wrote, "Blake Lively being best friends with Taylor Swift makes so much sense. I see Blake took some tips from Taylor using her “untouchable” fame + clout to try and make people turn on someone they view as competition. Too bad the public can see right through these things now."

"Honestly Blake Lively and Taylor Swift being best friends makes so much sense. both incredibly boring mediocre white women who receive far too much praise for doing the least," said another X user.
