NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Lisa McCaffrey, mother of the San Francisco 49ers' Christian McCaffrey, has declared a boycott against pop sensation Taylor Swift.

The singer, 34 is currently in a relationship with Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who will be going head-to-head with Lisa's son on the field on Sunday, February 11.

As the Super Bowl XLIII approaches, where the San Francisco 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs, Lisa McCaffrey has expressed her temporary boycott against pop star Taylor Swift.

Despite being a self-proclaimed Swiftie, Lisa's stance comes in light of the 'Karma' singer's relationship with Travis Kelce. 

"I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next couple days," Lisa shared on Olivia Culpo's podcast 'Your Mom'. 

"I love her, I love the relationship (between Swift and Kelce), but we are boycotting any T. Swift songs."

Lisa’s boycott of Swift's music is set to continue at least until the Super Bowl on February 11. She has declared that Swift's tracks will be absent from her running playlist and won't be played on her radio.

"She's dead to us this week," the mother said.

 How did fans react to McCaffrey's mom's remark?

Lisa's comments about Swift were not well-received by many on social media, with one Facebook user remarking, "Bless her jealous petty heart."

"Watch her purchase the team, lol" slammed another. 

"There is no way to comprehend this ridicule rationalization unless you’re 13!" stated another person. 

Another person commented on the "boycott" trend and said, "Thats whats wrong with the world boycotting one thing when it has nothing to do really with the other. Boycotts are really getting."

Anothe person ridiculed Lisa saying, "Sounds like she needs to grow up."
