During the evening, fellow superstar Taylor Swift, 35, was tasked with handing over the Best Country Album to Beyonce. As the ‘Halo’ singer’s name was announced for the prestigious category, she gave an astonished look which took the audience by surprise.

While her husband, Jay-Z, 55, immediately stood up to applaud his wife, Beyonce was left glued to her seat, seemingly still processing the news.

It was her daughter, Blue Ivy, who nudged the 'Single Ladies' hitmaker to get up and move toward the stage to collect her accolade.
