Body language expert claims Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s rumored romance ‘lacks passion’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Speculations about Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s rumored romance have taken the internet by storm, but body language expert Judi James suggests their connection might be purely platonic.
Despite rumors that the pair, who co-starred in 'The Music Man' on Broadway, have grown close after each ended long-term relationships, James told DailyMail that there are no signs of “suppressed passion” between them.
Body language expert claims Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s romance lacks 'passion'
According to James, while the duo looks comfortable together in public appearances, there are no subtle gestures or “tie-signs” indicating romance.
She told the outlet, "In terms of relationship signals the body language here looks non-committal. There are some overkill rituals that suggest a desire to create some form of an announcement to hint or to launch them as an authentic couple but there are no subtle tie-signs that signal this is more than just a working relationship."
Judi suggested that the pair are merely "co-stars" performing for the cameras. She also observed that there appeared to be a noticeable lack of any real sexual tension between the rumored couple.
"The smiles appear when the cameras start snapping. The touch rituals look formal despite the cute posturing. There are displays of coyness that could imply a relationship but no sexual touches or glances in this clip."
"Hugh looks keen to suggest some closeness, but the body language is not well synchronized here," Judi remarked. "He moves to clasp her hand and she moves away. Their eyes meet in a glance but there are no signs of suppressed passion."
She further said, "They look happy together and there seems to be an attempt to define them as a couple here. Judging from the body language here they could just be co-stars plugging a movie together."
While they seem "happy" together, Judi pointed out that this may simply reflect a friendly bond and nothing beyond that.
