Brad Pitt concerned about son Pax after nasty accident as he 'still very much cares', reveals source

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Despite their estrangement, Brad Pitt has remained deeply concerned for his son Pax, 20, who got into a serious accident on July 29, 2024, in Los Angeles. 

Pitt is receiving updates about Pax's condition following a collision while riding an electric bike without a helmet. Although it's been years since Pitt directly contacted Pax, his concern and care for his son remain unwavering.

Since his separation from Angelina Jolie, Pitt has had a strained relationship with his six children. Pax, one of the six children Pitt and Jolie share, has four siblings -- Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Brad Pitt 'still cares' about Pax despite estrangement

Brad Pitt reportedly remains concerned for his son Pax, who was released from the ICU on Monday, August 5, and is now recovering with the support of his mother and five siblings.

Despite having no direct contact with Pax or his other children, Pitt is closely monitoring Pax's recovery and hopes for a swift and full recovery, a source told People. 

"He hasn't had any contact with Pax in years, but he still very much cares," the source added.

An eyewitness, who called 911 after the accident, provided a chilling account, "His mouth was filled with blood. When he tried to speak, I saw a tiny stream of blood coming out of his mouth." 

"He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy. Pax and Jolie are deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of first responders and the outstanding medical care he received," the source said.

Brad Pitt has not been in touch with his adult children

Brad Pitt has been out of touch with his adult children for years, a situation that became publicly known when Angelina Jolie filed for divorce and sought sole physical custody in 2016. 

According to a source, "He has virtually no contact with the adult kids. His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule." 

Despite the visitation rights granted by their custody arrangement, Pitt's contact with his younger children remains minimal, and they seem disinterested in spending time with him.

They haven’t been seen with the actor for years and, like their older siblings, have stayed close to their mother.

The estrangement has reached a point where many of the children have distanced themselves from Pitt's last name, according to Blast.

Upon turning 18, his biological daughter, Shiloh, began legal proceedings to drop "Pitt" in favor of "Shiloh Nouvel Jolie".

Similarly, Vivienne used only "Jolie" in the playbill for her Broadway role in 'The Outsiders', although it’s unclear if she has legally changed her last name. 

In 2021, Pitt and Jolie's son Maddox also stopped using "Pitt" on non-legal documents, opting for "Jolie" instead.

Zahara, another daughter, introduced herself as "Jolie" during her Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority debut at Spelman College six months ago.

Angelina Jolie accused of poisoning her children's minds against Brad Pitt

After news emerged that Brad Pitt is receiving updates about his estranged son Pax’s recovery, several Facebook users expressed their concerns about the 20-year-old. Some even accused Jolie of poisoning her children’s minds against their father.

One social media user praised Pitt for being concerned and wrote, "Caring is great. Being honest about what you did and making it right is even better because that's healing....give that to the kids instead of the public saint act."

Another claimed, "That is Jolie’s child. He should only worry about his that she is ruining."

One person penned, "The estrangement from his children is heartbreaking. Angelina needs to be more understanding. It’s more about the children than it is about them."  

Another wrote, "Of course he does. That’s his son just as much as it’s Jolene’s. she’s poisoning all their minds against their dad. Her karma is coming."

One netizen asserted, "This kid needs all the support he can get. I’m glad Brad is showing up for his child."

Someone else slammed Jolie and commented, "Angelina should back off. This has gone way too far."

One individual shared, " His mom has poisoned him and siblings against Brad."
