LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A plethora of reactions and memes flooded the social media platform X after Bradley Cooper once again failed to get an Oscar this year.

Over the years, Cooper has been nominated 12 times, and this includes three nominations in 2024 alone.

Bradley Cooper's three nominations could not get him an Oscar

The 49-year-old star was nominated in three categories for ‘Maestro’ at the 96th Academy Awards — Best Actor, Writing (Original Screenplay), and Best Picture.

However, he did not get even one award to take home. This left the Internet in fits of laughter, considering the fact that plenty of articles about Cooper's struggle to get an Oscar this year had been published in the run-up to the awards show.

Bradley Cooper sparks memefest

Most of the memes poked fun at the actor's loss. There were also words of support for the actor, but they were mostly drowned in the sea of jokes at the star's expense.

An X user tweeted a meme with a caption that said, “Bradley Cooper watching Cillian Murphy in Oppenheimer #Oscars.”

One user posted, “Great movie ‘Maestro’ bad timing for competence.”

A troll posted on X, "Bradley Cooper lost YET ANOTHER award to Cillian Murphy. This is my personal #Oscars win tonight THE WORLD NEEDED THIS."

One troll posted a video to imply Cooper would probably be knocking at the gates at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party since his streak of bad luck at the Oscars. They posted a meme titled: "Bradley Cooper trying to get into the winner's afterparty."

“Ridiculous! Maestro was beautifully made & deserved at least 1 win!  My goodness @TheAcademy! #BradleyCooper DESERVED A WIN!!” a person tweeted in support of the out-of-luck actor.

There was another social media user who offered support to the actor saying, “Bradley Cooper is the most resilient person I’ve seen. He has battled with a lot of personal demons and helped people with addictions through his experience. In a certain way, he saved my life. No Oscar or stupid hater is gonna take that away. Your time will come, Bradley.”

A meme posted on X said, "Cillian murphy bumping into a very sour bradley cooper at the Oscars after party tonight #Oscars2024."

One post read, "Confirmation that bradley cooper wasted two years on oscar bait, a ludicrous personal PR campaign and embedding himself into a dead stranger’s family to come away with a grand total of nothing. Love to see it."

"Bradley Cooper going home with zero oscars," a meme read.

One social media user posted a video montage of Cillian Murphy stories and headlines and captioned the post : "And nothing for Bradley Cooper," intending to poke fun at the actor losing out on all three nominations this year, while the 'Oppenheimer' star was the toast of the town.

Bradley Cooper received support for use of prosthetic nose

This came after Cooper faced controversy for using a prosthetic nose to play Leonard Bernstein in ‘Maestro’.

He reportedly clarified in November 2023, “I thought, ‘Maybe we don’t need to do it.’ But it’s all about balance, and, you know, my lips are nothing like Lenny’s, and my chin. And so we had that, and it just didn’t look right [without the prosthetic].”

The late composer’s children also supported the actor as they added, “It happens to be true that Leonard Bernstein had a nice, big nose. Bradley chose to use makeup to amplify his resemblance, and we’re perfectly fine with that. We’re also certain that our dad would have been fine with it as well.”
