“It is very cool objectively that these things are happening at the same time,” Brandon Sklenar told People recently.
“It’s sort of divine timing, a universal wink. It’s like, ‘Hey, good on you,’” he added.
Reflecting on his career, Sklenar added, “I’ve been kind of just pounding away for the last 16 years. It’s like the universe throwing you a bone and I really appreciate that.”
When not working, Sklenar enjoys a quiet life in Santa Barbara with his girlfriend Courtney Salviolo, 34, and his 13-year-old dog, Remy. “I like to sit with my dog and my girl and play the guitar,” he simply stated.

Although online jokes compared Brandon Sklenar to Glen Powell, the two actors share more than just a physical resemblance. Both faced years of struggle before landing major roles.
Powell built his career with small movie roles and TV guest appearances before gaining mainstream recognition.

“As a struggling actor, there’s no harder place to live than being in Hollywood with nothing going on,” Powell told Vanity Fair in November, 2024.
“The currency of that town is how relevant you are an what your last job is. It makes you oppressively self-aware," he added.
Despite setbacks, Powell eventually broke out with a streak of hit films including 'Top Gun: Maverick', 'Anyone But You' (2022), 'Hit Man' and 'Twisters'.
