Britney Spears and boyfriend Paul Richard Soliz have become 'closer' after altercation at Chateau Marmont
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears has been excessively reliant on her boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz, ever since they allegedly got into an altercation at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, California, according to sources.
The pop star made headlines after obtaining medical attention for an injury received during a purported incident with Soliz at the Chateau Marmont.
Spears looked unkempt as she left the hotel with Soliz and her bodyguard, per the pictures obtained by Daily Mail.
Source claims 'Britney and Paul have been together nonstop'
Following the duo's appearance in the singer's $200,000 Mercedes, a source revealed to OK! Magazine, "Britney and Paul have been together nonstop since the incident at the Chateau Marmont."
"He’s gotten so much criticism and blame for that and she’s jumped to protect him, so it’s actually made them closer — they’ve got this ‘us against the world’ vibe going on," the source added.
Britney had no problem with Paul's actions, despite the fact that he had been charged with neglecting to provide child support to the mother of his several children.
The insider said of Britney, "She insists he’s a great guy and a great dad to his nine kids. Fact is, Brit does not want to be alone."
As previously reported, Paul's ex-partner, Nicole Mancilla, brought up the fact that Britney's former housekeeper had an affair with the singer and had neglected to pay child support for all five of their children.
Nicole remarked of Paul, "He was married, and now he denies his children. He neglects his children for her. He's a deadbeat dad. It’s difficult for me, because he doesn't support not one kid. And they're at my house."
Meanwhile, another insider stated that Britney is content with Paul, saying, "One of the reasons why she likes Paul is he doesn’t make her feel crazy, he’s easygoing and does whatever she wants."
Paul Richard Soliz previously called Britney Spears 'a phenomenal woman'
According to a previous Us Weekly report, Britney and Paul first met together in 2022 when he was hired to perform maintenance work around her house.
Britney was still married to her then-husband Sam Asghari at the time; the two separated in August 2023 following a 14-month marriage.
Britney and Paul are believed to have been dating around the time of her split with Asghari, however, a precise timeframe is unknown.
Paul referred to Britney as "a phenomenal woman" in a September 2023 exclusive interview with Us Weekly. He added, "She’s a very, very good, positive … She’s a good person."
Despite rumors of a split, Us Weekly reported in February that the pair are "definitely together." One insider said at the time, "He’s still in the picture."
The insider claimed that even though the pair never ventured out much, they did like vacations to Santa Barbara and that Paul was spending at least two or three nights a week at Britney's house at the time.
However, the 'Toxic' singer's family members acknowledged that they were uneasy about Paul's past.
The source said, "No one around Britney thinks this guy is good for her. They say he’s just telling her what she wants to hear."
