Britney Spears’ ex Sam Asghari brutally shades their marriage as he makes red carpet debut with new GF

PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO: Britney Spears' ex-husband, Sam Asghari made a pointed comparison between his marriage to the pop icon and his blossoming new romance with real estate agent Brooke Irvine.
The 31-year-old model and Irvine made their red carpet debut at the grand opening weekend of The Tryst in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on Friday, April 25, Daily Mail reported.

Sam Asghari reflects on new romance with Brooke Irvine
"It's all about love. That's what it is," Sam Asghari told Us Weekly on Friday.
"It's not about the industry, it's not about Hollywood," he continued while describing his relationship with the Los Angeles-based beauty.
"It's about what really is the most important thing, and that's being present, being in the moment and supporting others that are doing this same thing," Asghari added.

It was a clear departure from the way he now views his high-profile past with Spears.
Asghari and the 'Oops! I Did It Again' singer, 43, were together from 2016 until their split in 2023.
Their fairytale love story seemed to begin when they met on the set of her 'Slumber Party' music video in October 2016, and by the following month, romance rumors swirled after Asghari shared, and quickly deleted, a cozy Instagram photo of the two.
Still, what once looked like a perfect Hollywood love story eventually crumbled under intense public scrutiny and private strain.
They wed on June 9, 2022, but separated on July 20, 2023. Asghari officially filed for divorce in August 2023 citing “irreconcilable differences". The divorce was finalized in May 2024.
Sam Asghari reveals feeling 'afraid' during Britney Spears' conservatorship
In February, Sam Asghari revealed he felt "afraid" during Britney Spears' conservatorship, which controlled much of her personal and financial life for over a decade before ending in November 2021.
Asghari shocked fans, and reportedly Spears herself, by filing for divorce just 14 months after their long-awaited wedding.
Reflecting on their seven years together, Asghari opened up during an episode of 'The Viall Files', telling host Nick Viall it was a "big part" of his life.
He admitted Spears' conservatorship had been "strange" for him to "deal with", giving a rare glimpse into the struggles behind the scenes.
Now, standing alongside Irvine, Asghari seems to have found a deeper sense of purpose.
"It wasn't, 'Now is the time,' or whatever, but we're here to support a great cause," he said about making their public debut together.
He added a heartfelt message that transcended his own personal story.
"Love is not about gender, not about race, not about anything. Love doesn't understand any of those things, so that's why I'm always going to be an ally of this [LGBTQ+] community- because they help me believe that and understand that. That's what's really great about this community," he said.
Earlier, a source told Us Weekly that after taking “some time for himself after the divorce”, he is now “very happy” with Irvine. They described Irvine as a “normal girl".
