LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears is taking decisive steps toward healing and focusing on herself after a concerning incident earlier this year, where she was seen topless and barefoot outside of a Los Angeles hotel.

Wrapped in only a blanket to shield her modesty, the alarming photo followed an incident when paramedics were called to the famed Chateau Marmont in May. According to reports, Britney had been drinking, experienced a panic attack, and badly hurt her ankle.

Concerns rise as Britney Spears' hotel incident mirrors past struggles

According to the Mirror, the scene sparked fear among fans, as it mirrored the behavior that preceded Britney Spears' 2007 breakdown, which saw her shaving her head and led to a court-ordered conservatorship from 2008 to 2021.

The troubling incident occurred while Britney was with her then-partner, Paul Richard Soliz. Britney had started dating Soliz shortly after finalizing her third divorce from model Sam Asghari.

On the night of the incident, witnesses at the hotel described Britney as "out of control," which led to police being called. She reportedly also had a fight with Soliz and twisted her ankle.

Britney later rebutted reports alleging she had a “mental breakdown” the night of the Chateau Marmont incident.

The incident did raise concerns that she was regressing into her past struggles but there are now whispers that Britney is making positive strides forward.

Insiders suggest that the pop star has managed to regain control of her finances and is maintaining sobriety, particularly when it comes to illegal drugs.

Sources have also confirmed that Britney Spears has cut ties with Paul Soliz, as she has sworn off "toxic" men for the time being.

"[Britney] will be healing from her trauma for a very long time," a source said. "But she is done with men for now and focusing on herself."

This decision reflects Britney's commitment to her well-being and marks a period of self-reflection.

In her ongoing journey toward emotional and physical healing, Britney is reportedly receiving regular therapy and taking prescribed psychiatric medication. She has also employed a full-time chef and medical professional to monitor her health at her multi-million dollar home.

Sources close to the singer assured that she is "sober" and "does not do drugs", though she enjoys an occasional glass of wine.

“She has a glass of wine now and then, but she does not have a substance abuse problem and has people around her to make sure that she stays on the straight and narrow,” an insider explained.
