LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears, the pop icon known for her hit songs like 'Toxic' and 'Baby One More Time', has found a unique and therapeutic way to heal after years of trauma.

The 43-year-old singer has been embracing equine therapy as part of her healing journey after enduring a 13-year conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears.

According to an insider, working with horses has become one of the most peaceful parts of her life. “Britney is doing all kinds of therapy,” the source shared and added Spears "says working with the horses has given her the most peace.”

Spears has been undergoing equine-assisted therapy, which involves both the relaxation of horseback riding and intensive psychotherapy where horses play a central role in the healing process. “Britney loves horseback riding, but that’s not what equine therapy is,” the insider explained to OK! magazine.

Insider added, “Yes, she does do some riding, but it’s more about being with the horses and a therapist because it’s about feeding them, watering them, grooming them, it’s about being in their calming presence and also working with a therapist at the same time.”

Recently, Spears opened up about her therapy sessions, sharing a picture of herself on a horse with the caption, "I do equine therapy every Tuesday and Saturday because I’ve been so traumatized by people… not sure who is he, but if I ever imagined a person… 🎩🎩🎩"

The therapy has proven to be helpful in many ways, the source added, saying that the therapy, “might sound kooky to some people,” but “it’s actually been proven to help people in so many ways, not just with emotional regulation but also with trust, and even with life skills.”

“She’s going a couple of times a week now, but she’s even talking about getting her own ranch so that she can have horses right on her property and be with them any time she wants,” the insider revealed.

Spears’ emotional struggles are likely connected to the years she spent under the conservatorship, which ended in 2021. Since then, the pop star has been navigating a difficult path, including a split from her ex-husband Sam Asghari in 2023.

As Spears continues her healing process, her use of equine therapy reflects her journey toward regaining control of her life and well-being.
