Source claims Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears' relationship is moving toward turning positive
The tipster elaborated, "On the few occasions when Jamie Lynn spoke about Britney in Australia, it was all positive. They are sisters at the end of the day, and even though they’ve had their fair share of run-ins, it is time to see if they can finally put the past behind them."
They noted, "Britney spent time with her mum in the summer and now she’d like to see if she could do the same with Jamie Lynn. It’s baby steps but it all seems positive."
Britney and Jamie, who have a 10-year age gap, have had a strained relationship and even got into a public feud over the release of the latter's memoir, 'Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out'.
Moreover, the younger sister appeared to criticize the #FreeBritney movement during the debacle surrounding the 'Criminal' singer's conservatorship.
Jamie Lynn Spears opened up about family drama and Britney Spears
The news of a possible reconciliation comes months after Jamie spoke about her elder sister with Variety.
She told the publication, "I have nothing but absolute love for every single one of my family members."
The mother-of-two continued, "If I learned anything from last year, being so open and feeling like I had to defend myself at times, I don’t feel like there’s anything else that I need to say."
Jamie asserted, "I just have to leave it where it is because those conversations are meant to be personal. All I can focus on now is my girls, my husband, and the work that I’m doing."
She also mentioned the family drama's effect on her children, especially her older child, Maddie, whom she gave birth to in 2008 as a teenager with her then-19-year-old fiance, Casey Aldridge.
Jamie revealed that she tells her daughter that she "should be so proud. Look at what your family has done and accomplished. We came from a small town, and now everybody’s fascinated by the good and, especially, the bad."
"But look at what an example of a strong female you have. You have something to be proud of, and you should have pride in that. And kids are kids, so I’m sure there’s a lot meaner things that they’re doing to each other in high school," further expressed the 'Zoey 102' star.
