Brittany Mahomes weighs in on Charlie Kirk’s death with cryptic post: 'Hate doesn't know how to heal'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As the world mourns the shocking death of 31-year-old MAGA activist Charlie Kirk, Brittany Mahomes appeared to weigh in with a cryptic social media post.
The post, shared just hours after Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10, has sparked speculation online.
Police later confirmed that 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler James Robinson had been arrested in connection with the fatal campus shooting.
Did Brittany Mahomes react to Charlie Kirk's death?
Brittany Mahomes, co-owner of the NWSL’s Kansas City Current, appeared to address the shocking assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk with a cryptic Instagram Story.
She re-shared a quote from author Sharon McMahon that read: “Hate will not get us out of this mess. Your feelings might lie and try to tell you otherwise, but hate doesn't know how to heal or build, only how to harm and destroy.”

While Mahomes didn’t offer any direct explanation or context for the post, the timing raised eyebrows. It came just hours after Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
Though Mahomes is rumored to lean Republican, the Texas native has never publicly declared her political affiliation. Last year, ahead of the 2024 presidential election, she faced criticism for liking a "Make America Great Again" post on Instagram.
In response, she wrote: “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood.'There's no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”
Her remarks later drew public praise from President Trump, who called her “beautiful.”
Sports community and Hollywood mourn Charlie Kirk's death

The sports community has expressed a wide range of reactions to Kirk’s death, with voices emerging from across the political spectrum. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, a vocal Trump supporter, revealed that he has increased his personal security following the attack.
NFL players also weighed in. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Giants quarterback and Utah native Jaxson Dart, and Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker all condemned the violence.
Hollywood figures responded as well. Actor Chris Pratt posted on X, “Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country. We need God’s grace. God help us.”

'The View' co-host Whoopi Goldberg condemns political violence after Charlie Kirk's death
'The View' co-host Whoopi Goldberg strongly condemned the shooting of Charlie Kirk during Thursday’s episode on September 11.
“I don't even know how to start this because this is, it's just beyond devastating,” Goldberg said, opening the segment. “Our hearts, of course, go out to the family of Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed yesterday on a college campus in Utah.”
She continued by addressing the broader issue of political violence, “I mean, isn't a fundamental part of being an American that we are able to express our opinions to each other without fear, without this kind of horror happening?"
Goldberg stressed that the rise in politically motivated violence transcends party lines. “It's not even left or right,” she said. “It's just people being taken out because of their beliefs and their thoughts.”
