LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz only recently returned to the screen after a 10-year hiatus, but her well-known visage has already sparked a lot of speculations.

Fans are all over the internet discussing her appearance, with phrases like "Cameron Diaz plastic surgery," "Cameron Diaz facelift", and "Cameron Diaz age" being among the most searched terms on Google.

Diaz, who apparently views these remarks as "misogynistic" and "sexist", has begun to wonder if the "exposure" that comes with her return is worthwhile, per Radar Online.

Movie veteran Cameron Diaz's Hollywood comeback in the Netflix comedy-action thriller 'Back in Action', co-starring Jamie Foxx, has sparked a barrage of comments over her appearance.

Diaz's comeback has increased her public visibility, especially during multiple promotional interviews for the movie. Fans have since been speculating that the actress has undergone plastic surgery.

Before making a comeback in 'Back in Action', the 'Charlie's Angels' actress had a decade apart from the spotlight. Her facial rejuvenation has left fans puzzled and speculating.

"It’s so sad Cameron Diaz did the same thing Jennifer Grey did. They had surgery and don’t look anything like they did.I loved Cameron because she had a certain look and was so bubbly but in Back In Action it looks nothing like her. Spoiled the movie for me. Not being mean JMO," one X (formerly Twitter) user commented.

Another echoed, "In a good way? Only that I'm struggling to see, with all the money, how Cameron Diaz has managed to find a surgeon to make her look like someone who looks a bit like Cameron Diaz ..."

According to reports, the actress, 52, is now quite unhappy with the attention being paid to her looks and has told a friend that she is thinking about leaving Hollywood for good.

"Cam is wondering if the exposure is worth it. It is like nothing has changed during her time away. It's the same misogynistic and sexist nonsense about her appearance," a source told Radar Online.

"She's raging and feels like ducking out for another decade," they added.

Cameron Diaz denied undergoing plastic surgery

Cameron Diaz previously asserted that she had never underwent cosmetic surgery. She did, however, once acknowledge receiving Botox injections, but she detested the results.

"I’ve tried Botox before, where it was like a little tiny touch of something. It changed my face in such a weird way that I was like, ‘No, I don’t want to be like that’… I’d rather see my face aging than a face that doesn’t belong to me at all," Diaz confessed.

The 'Knight and Day' actress had earlier lamented the pressure to uphold beauty standards that come with working in the profession. However, she did not disclose what led her to try Botox.

"I am absolutely a victim to all of the societal objectifications, you know, that women, and exploitations that women, are subjected to," Diaz said at the time.

"I have bought into all of them myself, you know, at certain times. It’s not hard not to. It’s hard not to look at yourself and judge yourself against other markers of beauty," she added.

Cameron Diaz quit acting for 10 years to 'be free' to focus on her family

Cameron Diaz took a 10-year break from acting to "be free" to devote more time to her family and lead a more private life.

She married Benji Madden, the guitarist for Good Charlotte, during this period, and the two of them share two children.

However, she was unable to decline Foxx's offer when he presented her with 'Back in Action'. In an interview with Empire, Diaz stated, "I thought that if I was going to come back and do a movie, the only person I'd come back and do it with would be this guy."

She added, "Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I was always saying, “No. I’m not doing it, I’ve told you... What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie!"

The two have been friends for 25 years and previously featured in the movie 'Annie'. They portray married ex-spies in 'Back in Action', who are compelled to face their past after their covert identities are exposed.
