MARBELLA, SPAIN: Camila Cabello just proved one doesn’t need to leave Earth’s atmosphere to make a splashy tour announcement, a red wall, a TikTok, and some clever shade will do just fine.

The 'I Luv It' singer announced her upcoming Yours, C tour by playfully poking fun at Katy Perry’s viral Blue Origin space launch, Daily Mail reported.

Camila Cabello pokes fun at Katy Perry’s space stunt in cheeky TikTok

In the TikTok video, Camila Cabello, 28, is seen holding a poster with her tour dates while pretending to float in zero gravity.

Her caption: “Didn't have the budget to fly to space to promote my tour dates so I made this TikTok instead,” she quipped, tagging the Firework singer with a cheeky, “@Katy Perry hehehe ily.”

The red wall backdrop might not have the drama of the cosmos, but it certainly got fans talking, especially given the subtle jab at Perry’s 11-minute ride into space earlier this month.

Perry, 40, became a hot topic after her short but headline-making journey aboard a Blue Origin capsule on April 14.

During the trip, the pop star floated in microgravity, dramatically displayed a daisy to the camera, sang 'What a Wonderful World,' and held up a butterfly-shaped paper with what appeared to be the rumored setlist for her upcoming Lifetimes tour.

She even kissed the ground after landing, a gesture that didn’t sit well with some, considering that NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore were recently stranded in space for over nine months.

Camila’s lighthearted dig comes at a time when Perry is facing serious public backlash. Despite her impressive track record, including nine number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100, her return to the spotlight has been anything but smooth.

Katy Perry’s space stunt backfires

Reputation expert Eric Schiffer didn’t hold back, telling Daily Mail, "Katy Perry's reputation is vibe surfing the toilet drain faster than Blue Origin re-entered the atmosphere."

He added, "Katy's entering an area beyond career crisis into career extinction with a brand now synonymous with faux-feminist failure."

Schiffer continued with even sharper criticism: "Katy went to space, but she still couldn't find her lost fanbase.

Even her backup dancers may be distancing themselves.

She went to space for perspective, but Katy may soon need a telescope to see her career from here."

While Perry waxed poetic about her experience, saying things like, "It's not about singing my songs. It's about a collective energy in there. It's about us. It's about making space for future women and taking up space and belonging," critics found the display over-the-top and tone deaf.

According to a source close to the situation, even Perry now regrets some of her theatrics, particularly "kissing the ground" after her return and the overly staged "close-up camera moments" inside the capsule.

Meanwhile, Camila is firmly grounded and ready to hit the stage.

Her Yours, C tour kicks off on June 21 at the Starlite Occident Festival in Marbella, Spain, before hitting stops across Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.
