Candace Owens calls Blake Lively ‘not a good person’ after predicting she’ll lose Justin Baldoni lawsuit
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Conservative personality Candace Owens has weighed in on the ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and her 'It Ends With Us' co-star and director Justin Baldoni, offering some rather harsh criticism of the actress.
On her YouTube podcast, 'Candace', aired January 8, Wednesday, Owens claimed that Lively’s character is less than stellar, calling her “not a good person” and accusing her of being part of a smear campaign against Baldoni, reported OK Magazine.
Candace Owens predicts Blake Lively will lose lawsuit against Justin Baldoni
On the January 8 episode of her 'Candace' YouTube show, Candace Owens criticized Blake Lively, saying, "Blake Lively is not a good person. She’s a modern feminist.”
Owens questioned Lively’s decision to handle the situation through a civil rights group and a New York Times article instead of pursuing a formal lawsuit. “Was this just a way to salvage her reputation?” Owens asked, implying that Lively may have been more concerned with public relations than legal justice.
The heated criticism took a more personal turn as Owens shared a story from her time as an intern at Glamour, claiming her editor once described Lively as the “most difficult” and “rudest” celebrity she had ever encountered.
“People know this behind the scenes,” Owens continued, adding that Lively’s behavior was indicative of what she saw as an entitled and "bit of a brat" personality.
Owens didn’t stop there, also taking aim at Amber Heard’s support for Lively. She sarcastically remarked, “I think after allegedly pooping on Johnny Depp’s bed, she should sit this one down.”
Despite the drama surrounding the actresses, Owens made it clear that she believes Baldoni will emerge victorious in the lawsuit.
“My money is on Blake Lively being wrong," she said.
Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's high-stakes legal showdown
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are locked in a heated legal battle after Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment while working together on 'It Ends With Us', a film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel.
In her December complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, Lively also accused Baldoni of orchestrating a smear campaign to damage her reputation during the film's release.
In response, Baldoni filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times, alleging that the publication distorted communications regarding Lively’s accusations. Baldoni’s legal team claims that the article published by the outlet relied on "cherry-picked" and manipulated information, designed to mislead the public and damage his reputation, according to Daily Mail.
The legal tensions have escalated further as Baldoni’s attorney, Freedman, announced plans to release evidence they believe will expose a "pattern of bullying" by Lively.
“None of this will come as a surprise,” Freedman told People, suggesting that Lively has a history of using others to spread threats and manipulate situations to her advantage.
“We have all the receipts and more,” he added, indicating that they are prepared to back up their claims with strong documentation.
