Candace Owens claims ‘they’ll fake kill’ Brigitte Macron to avoid discovery in defamation lawsuit

GEORGETOWN, DELAWARE: Conservative commentator Candace Owens has ignited fresh outrage by claiming, without evidence, that Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, might “fake her death” to avoid moving forward with a defamation lawsuit over Owens’ conspiracy-fueled podcast series.
In her Monday broadcast, Owens floated the outlandish scenario during a segment responding to the Macrons’ newly filed 22-count complaint in Delaware Superior Court, which accuses the far-right media figure of running a calculated and malicious smear campaign.

Candace Owens says Brigitte Macron’s ‘fake death’ could be used to dodge scrutiny in ongoing legal saga
“I think they'll fake kill Brigitte first,” Candace Owens told her listeners. “They'll be like, ‘Oh, Brigitte passed away from stress because of what Candace did. Oh, nobody can talk about her being a man anymore because Brigitte's gone.’”
She added, “I don’t know, but that’s my instinct anyway.”
After speculating that faking a death might be a “more likely” tactic to dodge discovery and depositions, Owens ultimately acknowledged she had no real knowledge or evidence that such a thing would happen.

Owens has reignited controversy by reaffirming her baseless conspiracy theory that Brigitte Macron, wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, was “born a man.” The claim, part of Owens' ongoing so-called “transvestigation,” has already triggered a defamation lawsuit against her, with legal experts calling the allegations “demonstrably false” and potentially damaging.
Owens also told fans she had no immediate plans to crowdsource legal funds, saying she was still consulting attorneys. “Right now, we do not really need the money,” she said. “It’s very early on.”
“The process is supposed to be the pain,” she said. “But I can’t see them making it to discovery. I just don’t see that happening.”
Macrons sue Candace Owens over ‘relentless’ and ‘dehumanizing’ attacks

French President Emmanuel Macron and first lady Brigitte Macron filed a defamation lawsuit in the United States on Wednesday, July 23, against conservative commentator Candace Owens.
The legal action stems from Owens’ repeated and baseless claims that Brigitte Macron is biologically male, an accusation the couple says is not only false but deliberately defamatory and harmful.
Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron accuse Owens of orchestrating a “campaign of global humiliation” rooted in lies and “relentless bullying.”
The complaint claims Owens deliberately spread falsehoods about Brigitte Macron’s identity to drum up controversy, boost viewership for her podcast, and fuel the growth of what the filing describes as her “frenzied” online following.
According to the lawsuit, the Macrons claim that Candace Owens propagated the false narrative that Brigitte Macron, 72, was originally born as “Jean-Michel Trogneux,” the name of her older brother.
The lawsuit states, “Every time the Macrons leave their home, they do so knowing that countless people have heard, and many believe, these vile fabrications.” It describes the situation as “invasive, dehumanizing, and deeply unjust.”
The 22-count complaint, filed in Delaware Superior Court, seeks an unspecified amount in both compensatory and punitive damages, aiming to hold Candace Owens accountable for what the Macrons allege is a sustained and malicious defamation campaign.
