LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Candace Owens has launched a scathing critique of Meghan Markle following her involvement in aiding the Pacific Palisades wildfire recovery.

In a TikTok video shared on January 14, the conservative political commentator mocked Markle’s actions during her visit to the affected area, particularly her decision to pick up the lid of a plastic bin.

In her video, Candace Owens sarcastically remarked, "She stooped down and she picked up the lid of a plastic bin."

"And that's how I knew my girl was real. It’s very helpful for her to stoop down and do that," she said, according to OK Magazine.

Owens further ridiculed the Duchess of Sussex, adding, "If anyone sees plastic bins lying around, just hit up your girl Meghan."

She criticized Markle’s relief efforts, emphasizing that wildfire victims require tangible aid rather than symbolic gestures. "Nobody cares. Send money, send food — it’s about what these people need," she stated.

The host of the 'Candace Owens Podcast' acknowledged that Markle and Prince Harry may be helping behind the scenes but questioned the need for their publicized visit.

"That’s not to say they aren’t doing that. I’m sure perhaps they are in the background, but I just don’t understand this visit," Owens added.

Candace Owens mocks postponement of Meghan Markle's Netflix show

Candace Owens also aimed at Meghan Markle’s decision to delay her Netflix cooking show 'With Love, Meghan' due to the wildfires, calling it an unnecessary and insincere gesture. “It’s devastating.”

Owens quipped mockingly, referring to the show being postponed. "She felt that maybe it would not be relatable at this time to see her cooking in a mansion that belongs to one of her friends and inviting over her rich and fabulous people as she gets honey out of the garden and presents perfect Martha Stewart looking," said Owens.

Wider criticism of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s actions

Candace Owens’ remarks are part of a broader wave of criticism aimed at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for their approach to the Los Angeles wildfire crisis.

Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly called the couple “absolute cretins,” accusing them of using the tragedy to boost their public image.

“They decided to interject themselves into the devastation in Los Angeles,” Kelly stated.

Actress Justine Bateman also joined the criticism, branding the Sussexes “disaster tourists” in a post on X.

“What a repulsive ‘photo op’ they achieved,” Bateman wrote, adding, “They are ‘touring the damage’? Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists. Disaster tourists.”

Owens slammed Meghan and Prince Harry, claiming that she agrees with the “general public sentiment that Meghan and Harry are inauthentic ambulance chasers," according to Newsweek.
