'Can't take a joke': John Oliver responds to Elon Musk's 'weak sauce' jibe after 'Last Week Tonight' diss
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: John Oliver and Elon Musk have engaged in a recent back-and-forth, and with the ball technically in the comedian's court, he's now responded to the ongoing feud, as per TMZ reports.
The comedian was approached at LAX on January 15 and questioned about the recent exchange with the Tesla chief, who had referred to him as "woke" and labeled him "weak sauce."
'The reason he is not very funny these days.....'
Musk's comments appeared to be a response to Oliver featuring him on his show last month.
Musk had responded to an article criticizing Oliver's 'Last Week Tonight' segment, which thoroughly dissected Elon's actions. Musk said, "It is rather tragic to see an otherwise capable comedian like @iamjohnoliver become weak sauce."
He added, "The reason he is not very funny these days is because he is too keen to pander to wokeness, which is fundamentally a lie, whereas great humor requires revealed truth."

The reason he is not very funny these days is because he is too keen to pander to wokeness, which is fundamentally a lie, whereas great humor requires revealed truth.
Now, Oliver has responded to Elon's complaint about him, specifically accusing him of going "woke," a term often used by Musk lately.
Elon Musk's 'woke' argument
During the brief conversation as reported by TMZ, Oliver essentially shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly to what Musk thought of him.
One thing Oliver is certain about Musk is that he's thin-skinned, but when it comes to understanding Musk's "woke" argument, Oliver stated that he can't play psychologist for someone like Musk.
In fact, he expressed uncertainty about whether Musk even knows what he means by using the term "woke."
Netizens expressed their opinions on the situation, with some stating in support of Oliver, "John Oliver is the best! He’s so smart and funny. Elon is neither. He’s just rich. That’s all he’s got".
"John Oliver is spot on and hilarious," said another.
One said, "Elon says a lot of Cool stuff, but he has his hands in too many things that are not good for humans".
Others took a diss at comedy in general, saying, "TV comedy is dead. There is still some good stuff on YouTube but who know how long that will last. Glad we have X as a platform for unfiltered comedy".

His segment on you was funny. You don’t think he’s funny because you can’t take a joke.
