Meanwhile, auditions are ongoing for the 23rd season of ABC’s 'American Idol,' where Underwood will make history as the first former contestant to serve as a judge after winning the competition in 2004.
Reflecting on the experience, the singer who was just 21 when she auditioned for the show in St Louis, shared with 'Good Morning America' on August 2: “I mean it it feels like home! There's so many people that even still work on the show that were there when I was a contestant.”
“So I feel like being on both sides of the coin, I'll be able to hopefully offer some insight and help,” she added.
As for her judging style, Carrie stated, “I can't lie. I just can't it's not you can tell I feel like I'll be very honest, but hopefully you know I can be very constructive and encouraging.”
She reassured fans that she won’t be overly critical: “Oh gosh no. I mean, just ask my kids. I feel like I'm not too harsh.”
With 9.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Underwood is set to release her duet with Grammy winner Cody Johnson, 'I’m Gonna Love You,' this Friday.
She is also scheduled to resume her on-and-off Reflection residency at Resorts World Las Vegas on October 16, as per DailyMail.
