WASHINGTON, DC: Carrie Underwood has been accused of showcasing “diva” behavior as her list of demands at Donald Trump’s inauguration came out a day after the country queen took the stage on Monday, January 20.

The ‘American Idol’ judge was recently invited to perform at Trump’s inauguration as the 78-year-old politician was sworn into office as the 47th President of the United States.

While Underwood’s performance was marred with heavy technical glitches that subsequently may have caused her to throw a “mini hissy fit,” insiders claim that her “diva” behavior started long before that.

Carrie Underwood, 41, was invited to perform ‘America The Beautiful’ during the inauguration ceremonies in the Rotunda of the US Capitol on Monday as Trump was sworn into his second term.

While the country crooner might have thrown a “hissy fit” following the performance, insiders are claiming that her “diva” behavior started long before that.

The ‘Blown Away’ singer is allegedly said to have laid down a list of requests, including a huge entourage and a handmade designer dress, ahead of the gig, as reported by Daily Mail

“Carrie was the inauguration day diva,” claimed an insider before elaborating, “She’d been telling anyone who wanted to listen that Trump called her personally to ask her to perform.”

The source revealed, “She hired an army of security, was requesting a handmade designer dress for the performance, and demanded she be allowed a team of 20.”

“She of course demanded tickets for her family and friends on top of that as well,” added the source.

Underwood, accompanied by her hair stylist of 20 years, Melissa Schleicher, and stylist Marina Toybina in her entourage, looked exquisite in a dove gray draped midi dress from Italian fashion house, Opificio Modenese’s collection as she took the stage.

After it was revealed that Underwood was to perform at the inauguration, the songstress shared in a statement that she was “humbled” to be a part of it.

Issuing a statement, she said, “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event.”

“I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future,” continued the star.

However, her decision to perform was not without criticism, as several fans opposed her decision to perform at the inauguration and questioned her “morals.”

The words about the ‘Church Bells’ singer’s “diva” behavior came out just a day after it was revealed that Carrie Underwood felt she had not been “afforded the same level of respect” as the previous inauguration performers including Beyonce and Lady Gaga.

“Carrie was dissatisfied with her performance at the event, primarily due to the limited space she was given, which left her feeling cramped and uncomfortable,” shared the source.

They continued, “Her anxiety was high throughout the performance, and she felt that she was not afforded the same level of respect or admiration that previous performers, such as Beyonce and Lady Gaga, had received.”

“She felt as if she was ushered in and out and had a mini hissy fit afterwards,” claimed the source referencing her behavior triggered by the technical glitches.
