"That’s the difference between Democrats and Republicans,” Charlamagne said on 'Breakfast Club.'

“One party is about inaction, and one party is about all action—even if that action is harmful to the country," he said.

Charlamagne criticized Schumer and other Democratic leaders for their approach to governance.

He argued that Democrats fail to take decisive action, which ultimately weakens their position against Republicans.

The decision to back the bill angered Democratic activists, who accused Schumer of giving up the party’s leverage against Trump and his billionaire ally, Elon Musk.

Schumer claimed the funding lapse would have allowed Musk’s so-called “department of government efficiency” (Doge) to take advantage of the situation for further cuts.

"I think he did the right thing,” Trump said on Friday, March 14.

Schumer was joined by eight other Democrats and one independent who helped avoid a government shutdown, including Senator John Fetterman, Democrat of Pennsylvania.

Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky was the only GOP senator to vote against it.

He argued that the party’s struggles stem from weak leadership, stating, “In order to change the messaging, you got to change the people in the party.”
