NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News commentators weighed in on the Christmas family photo shared by the Biden family after the image sparked attention for its unusual framing, claiming that the family made an effort to hide Biden.

While the post was meant for a festive holiday message, attention shifted to the former president, who was almost not visible in the photo.

Referring to the former president’s family photo, Charlie Hurt said, “I studied it, and I’m sort of torn between thinking it was just a screw-up or something like that. And also thinking that maybe it really is an effort by even the family to try to make Joe Biden disappear.”

The host, Joe Concha, then said, “Right. Like they did in July 2024, I remember that the DNC in August that year, where they put Biden on night one. They made sure he didn't go on until it was 11.30 on the East Coast, and they got him out of the convention, so that we didn't have to see him again.”

He continued, “But look at that picture, it's as if like... Hunter Biden is running the family. He’s in the middle. Dad should always be in the middle of the picture, and instead, he’s just like an uncle who tried to sneak in the last second, who kind of really isn't related to anybody. I almost feel sorry for the guy that he’s relegated to that. And any picture like that…you know, there are no accidents, especially from a former president, is disrespectful.”

Hunter Biden was front and center in family Christmas photo

Biden’s Christmas Eve family photo went viral for unexpected reasons after many noticed he appeared partially hidden in the background of the image.

Shared on social media late on Christmas Eve, the photo showed several members of the Biden family standing in front of a decorated Christmas tree.

While the message wished followers “a peaceful and joyful Christmas Eve filled with love,” attention quickly shifted to the framing of the image and the former president's placement within it.

Social media users were quick to point out that the 83-year-old appeared tucked behind others in the group, while his son, Hunter Biden, stood front and center.

The visual sparked widespread commentary, with many questioning why Biden appeared barely visible in a photo shared from his own account.

Biden's heartfelt Christmas message

Biden struck a deeply personal and hopeful tone this holiday season, sharing a Christmas message centered on family, love, and the quiet joy of becoming a great-grandfather even as a separate holiday photo sparked an unexpected online debate.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) during the Christmas holidays, the Democrat reflected on spending his great-grandson Willie’s first year getting to know him, describing the experience as a powerful reminder of hope for the future.

The message, which resonated widely, showed Biden embracing a softer, family-first moment far removed from the intensity of public office.

It read, "With our hearts full of light and love, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Getting to know our great-grandson Willie in his first year has been a blessing and a reminder of the hope we will always have for the future. Our wish for you and for our country is that we continue to seek in one another love, kindness, and compassion."
