KANSAS, MISSOURI: The Kansas City Chiefs have been enjoying a lot of attention lately, thanks to their star tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, pop icon Taylor Swift.

The couple, who have been dating since early 2023, has been spotted at several Chiefs games and events, showing their support for each other.

How Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship boosted the Chiefs’ popularity

He revealed this in an interview with Jim Cramer on 'Mad Money' last week.

“It’s been a very interesting, very fun year, having the two of them dating,” Hunt said.

“The attention that’s been focused on the Chiefs. Our female audience has grown leaps and bounds,” he said on the show.

Clark Hunt expresses happiness over the Swift-Kelce relationship 

He expressed his happiness for the couple, commending their chemistry, and also addressed the speculations people made about it being a marketing stunt for the NFL to boost their viewership and female audiences.

“We’re so happy for Travis Kelce and Taylor in their relationship,” he said.

“When they were just starting off dating, there were a lot of people saying, ‘No, it’s a marketing stunt,’ but no, it’s very real, and the most important thing is we’re very happy for the two of them,” he added.

Hunt also dismissed the rumors that the relationship was a publicity stunt, saying that it was “purely organic” and “very real."

Taylor Swift’s sweet impression on the Chiefs’ family

Hunt also shared his personal experience of meeting Swift at one of the games she attended. He described her as a “sweet” and “incredible” person and artist, OK! Magazine reported. 

“She’s just as sweet as she can be,” he said. “I also got to see her play here twice this past summer, and what an incredible performer. Just one of the most amazing artists of our time.”

He was not the only one who was impressed by Swift. Patrick Mahomes’ father, Pat, also had nothing but good things to say about her.

He told reporters that he found her to be “down to earth” and “genuine” after introducing himself to her.

“I actually walked up and introduced myself to her and she said that she knew who I was because she had watched [Netflix’s] Quarterback series,” he said.

“So I mean, she was genuine. Every time I’ve hung out with her, she just acts like a normal person,” he added.
